No matter how many times we play a dungeon and how much we itch for a speedrun, know that we must always prioritize on staying positive and ensure a good synergy between teammates at all times.

I know, it can be slower, it can be less fun for you, but it's better than having people argue or party members leaving, you know?

Understand that not all tanks want to speed run dungeons. But when your healer or dps are charging ahead of you to pull mobs in your place because you aren't going at THEIR preferred pace... I mean... what am I supposed to do?

And the higher level the dungeon the worse it gets..
naw dude, lets get out of here , its no point in takin 30 mins to do a dungeon none at all

The vast, VAST majority of players want to get the dungeon done with as quickly as possible. They've already run the dungeon countless times, and the only reason they are in there at all is to scoop up some more Tomestones. The less time that this takes, the better. Any responsible tank who is confident in her abilities will speed run. As someone with a minority opinion, your best bet for taking the dungeon at a leisurely pace is to do it with friends who are willing to slow down to your pace. When partying with randoms, be prepared to go with the majority.

The first time I run a dungeon, it's always with friends, so we can take it easy, experiment with difficult pulls, and so on - all without any pressure.

^ This. I got some excellent Goldsmithing desynthing skill back in the Mythflox days thanks to everyone skipping the chests with accessories in them. After the run, I'd return to the start of the dungeon and pick up the skipped chests we left behind. Two guaranteed accessories, every time!

New dungeons are even better, as there are virtually no skippable mobs. Just about every chest is free and clear, once the dungeon is done.

I did forget that playing this game is like a household chore for some people.

I do go with the majority. Problem is, I try to only take as many packs as I THINK I can handle damage taking wise. I don't want to take more damage than the healer can keep up with. But it can't be helped really. Each group of randoms is different... sometimes.

I'm a huge fan of speed dungeons. It feels so great to burn down so many enemies at once. I just give myself a little groan and neck crack IRL when I see I have to prepare myself for an overgeared tank to pull 1 pack at a time.

Shaving minutes off, and as you get more and more efficient shaving more minutes and seconds off the final product is great, rewarding and exhilarating for me. People who like slow dungeons sometimes try to be dense and say this is the equivalent of making the game a chore or "ummm I play for fun, you must not" in which case you just roll your eyes. At the end of the day I don't believe in pulling for a tank, so I feel a tank sets the pace of the dungeon and that's a risk you take by not queueing with a tank you know has a similarly mindset.

I hate speed runs more than I like them but Im okay with doing them. I do think they are bad for the game and community though. Speed running is picking up hard at a rapid pace this time around and its been reaching points where the attempts are impossible unless theres a brd/mch in the party to feed the healer mp and other tanks just do these mega pulls anyway if those jobs are in the party or not.

I just pull moderate size groups to just stay in between and let those jerkass bards that run ahead of me die alone.

Its a guaranteed slow run if someone decides to run ahead of me though, I will let you die if you run ahead while we are still fighting.

Most of the time when I go into a dungeon using DF, it's to complete a specific task and do it as quickly as possible. Whether it be gear for GC turn ins, exp, or tomestones, I want to get it done fast so I can go back to doing the stuff I actually enjoy doing in the game, which is usually crafting or gathering.

I understand your frustrations, but if you want to take your time, you're better off making your own group in PF or with FC members instead of getting upset with random people in DF. If you don't want to do that, then your best bet is just speaking up and asking if the tank can slow down a little.
