Each group/person/run is different. If you are not comfortable with a speed run, say so, you will be surprised how courteous the majority of people can be. That said you can't expect everyone to abide by your definition of "fun." For some speed running is "fun" I, for example enjoy the spice of a speed run. Throws a bit of challenge in (dungeons are otherwise pretty boring after the first few "new box smell" runs cause you do them everyday)

I don't know why I'd pull only one trash pack if we can handle two or three. I don't know why you'd advocate for that either so long as no one's dying. There's nothing interesting about trash. Just pulling more of it makes life more interesting for the tank and healer. As a DPS, you should be AoEing after a certain number of mobs anyway. I guess I don't see what's better about fighting one pack at once if you can comfortably fight more than one.

you have to prove your side to be the supermajority position if you want to tell the minority to stick to Party Finder.
You have to prove your side to be the supermajority position if you want to force speed runs in Duty Finder. The best you can say would be that the majority of official forum users agree with you. But; a) I am not sure they do, and b) Official forum users are a small, self selecting fraction of the playerbase, and so are not representative.

Of my last 20 dungeon runs where I didn't tank, maybe 2 didn't do speed pulls. And those 2 were low level dungeons such as Tam Tara. You should actually expect speed runs and just speak up if you don't want to do it and maybe the tank will be nice about it.

I personally love killing stuff faster and faster as my gear improves or seeing how much more I can heal or how much more I can survive. Big pulls accomplish this.

I'll speed run if the group comp can handle it. Testing with a double pull see if the healer is willing then full bore. Sorry not sorry but if I have a DRG and a SMN Im not speed running the expert or most dungeons with that comp. Though I expect when Im heals or DPS that it may be a speed run. Either is fine as long as the group can handle it.

When I play Tank, I put on my hat and drive my speed run train. In the end, so long I don't exceed a certain speed, it'll stay in rails.
Personally I find it more fun to battle 6 enemies at once than 3 each time. (Specially as a DRK).

As a DPS, I like to carry my weight and keep shoveling coal into the furnace to keep the train running. I find it nice to be able to use all my tool kit to the utmost and be rewarded with an amazing performance by clearing everything in a quick and clean fashion.

Maybe its because I have my trustworthy engineer keeping an eye on the temperature and pressure gauges and doing quick and on point maintenances to the machine so its almost always a smooth ride.

Of course, there are moments in which a Train Driver goes too quickly or the coal is not being shoved in at a good enough pace, nvm keeping an eye on the machine's temperature, so it becomes a trainwreck. Be it coming off tracks, exhausting its power, or simply exploding.

I'm pretty sure all you have to do is be a tank and then bring a friend for security reasons. Granted, if the DPS and / or healer are wheelie bins, you might not get very far.

Maybe super turbo pulls aren't the norm, but single pack donks aren't either.

    That's a super spicy take.

When you do the same dungeons several times a week, every week, they do begin to feel like a chore. Wanting to get them over with as quickly as possible so you can pursue the fun stuff in the game isn't entirely unreasonable.

As a tank, I prefer to pull two or more groups.

As a healer, I prefer if the tank pulled two or more groups.

As a DPS, I don't care, because my queue is usually longer than the dungeon itself.

People keep talking about how dungeons are boring and speed-running them gets it over with as quickly as possible, but to me, it's not about getting it over with asap so I can go back to doing something else; it's about displaying complete and utter mastery of the content and the class I came in on.

People talk about how boring this stuff is, but at the same time, doesn't clearing something super fast give you a little thrill of "yeah, I'm awesome!"?
