I am a little hesitating on this topic,
Do you think it is worth to get the creation PLD W&S over other left side pieces at this moment? This given I have a direct hit penta-melded chromite sword.
Thanks for the advice

Personally, I wouldn't spend the tomestone for it unless you can upgrade it to 340 right away.
I've used tomestones on body and belt so far (got savage drops for head&legs) and used crafted right side.
I will probably upgrade my weapon to 340 this week since none of my DPS want to spend the tomestone for the weapon and I don't have much else to spend my creation on.
It'd say it really depends on your raid progression and how geared you are right now.
You don't want to waste 3 weeks worth of tomestones now if you're already well progressed in NeoEX. If you're still in V3S, that might be worth it.
It always depends on how close you're to clearing last floor. If you'll clear o4s soon then the tomestone weapon is somewhat a waste of tomestones, but if you won't clear o4s soon, it's a good investment to help your group through the progression. Not everyone is good enough to clear o4s in full 320 gear, so every bit of dps counts. It's more cost efficient to hold out until you get the i345 weapon by skipping the tomestone weapon, but if everyone does the same you might struggle with dps checks and take longer before you clear o4s. That said, the difference between pentamelded i320 weapon and i330 is quite small.
Have you cleared o3s? Will you be getting the upgrade item (roborant) soon? If you're currently progressing in neo exdeath and close the latter parts of the fight, then you should hold out and not spend your tomestones on the weapon. If you just started o4s or still progressing in o3s I'd say it's worth investing on the tomestone weapon

Generally, yes get it, the WD increase is worth it alone. Also need to consider what levels of savage you are clearing, and what might be the problem for your group if you are raiding.
Thanks for all your replies. I am currently progressing on O3S.
Personally, I say don't bother with it. If your raid is failing a DPS check then replace the weak DPS. It's not your job as tank to make up for low dps. Others will argue with the "tank dps is important" but that's complete crap. Long as you can properly mitigate dmg and hold threat you are doing your job. High DPS is always helpful but it should never be your primary goal.
The problem with the left side savage pieces is all of them minus 1 has skill speed, i have all of them and I'm swimming in skill speed and it sucks. Need so many creation upgrade tokens to balance it out somewhat. As for the weapon as others have said, probably not that important if you have the crafted except if you get the token to upgrade it to 340.

That's true to some extent but you're taking it to such a silly extreme.
By your logic both Tanks can sit there spamming Flash as long as they do mechanics correctly.
Good luck with enrages and first clears after losing 5000+DPS.
This kinda smells like bait but in case anyone new is reading this, this person doesn't know what they're talking about and I doubt they've raided during the relevant patch at any time in FFXIV. You're not making up for anything when you maximize your DPS, you're just doing your job and being respectful to the other seven people in your party by not slacking.
This is a tricky topic, but for static progression that stance (dps is not tank/healer's job) is definitely not one I'd recommend to anyone. Sure some members in the group might be underperforming, but the more common case is that the whole group just aren't as good as the groups that cleared the fight week 1 in full 320 gear. In the latter case it makes much more sense for everyone in the group to try to make up that lack of dps by gearing up or improving strategies for better dps stance uptime, more healer dps, or just better general uptime for everyone while doing mechanics. It's 100% impossible to clear o4s in full 320 gear if the healers and tanks aren't pushing their dps. This kinda smells like bait but in case anyone new is reading this, this person doesn't know what they're talking about and I doubt they've raided during the relevant patch at any time in FFXIV.
