I mentioned it here months ago, but no one commented so I dropped it.Those are definitely good suggestions. Especially the board. Have it like the hunt/market board, but companies put up a "flyer" like advertisement saying they are looking for fresh sacrifi...I mean new members. Then they could put their shouts that someone teleports around doing now on there and save time that way. Maybe have it so FCs need to rent a space on the board(just for another gil sink)

Maybe if people were less rude we wouldn't have a ton of blind invites. As to the OP you've been told what you need to do to stop the blind invites, yet don't want to do any of them so your only choice left is to live with it.
I;m curious why exactly you don't like FC's.
I like how people just ignore OP's wishes and tell him to join one anyways. If my real life friends didn't want to make an FC I would be in the same boat as OP. It's much more enjoyable to just not be in a FC and avoid the cringe, toxicity, spam, or all of the above. Sometimes it's just not worth the buffs especially since squadron manuals are a thing.
At the moment I would just make room on the blacklist starting with the obvious gil spammer names since those accounts usually go dark after a while. Being forced to go /dnd and blocking out all correspondence is annoying, but there aren't that many options available currently. Making your own private FC would be nice but you'll have to deal with getting people together to start it up and remove them afterwards. If you have a friend willing to help they can make alts to fill out the required starting members.
Honestly, not being in an FC feels incredibly lonely in FFXIV, but if you want the quiet, you do you, man.
Anyway, I will note that if the invites are that gross and frequent, tagging yourself as busy is the only reliable way to halt invites completely. However, if you still need to be open to your friends, you can opt to either;
1) Make a linkshell for you and your friends.
2) Use the moogle mail system to communicate as needed.
Otherwise, there is nothing else for it.
I agree with the original poster . There should be a simple check box under the chat options .
Right under the check box for trade offers .
Though i agree , the make your own fc for the fc chest , is a good idea.
Or do what do what I do. Accept. Spam constantly. So their chat is backed up for hours.
There actually is an option to auto-cancel any FC invite
My black list is full of nothing but people who send me invites I got rid of the RMT's a long time ago. And as for why I don't like them I find them to be a waste of time and nothing but toxic and full of drama as well as cliques.
The dumbest thing about the blind FC invites is that I have to decline twice. First to say "no" to whether I accept the invite, and then "yes" to whether I decline the invite. Like, what? Why is the UI trying to Bugs Bunny me into joining an FC?
