Inactive FC has a name I'd like to use

I'm on Coeurl in Aether and I just recently thought of a name for an FC that would be very cool to use! Knowing that it might be taken I decided to look it up first and lo and behold it was! But interesting enough I looked at the members list and when it was founded and it appears that none of them are active! Seeing as evidence leans towards them probably never getting on this game again if they even remember they ever played it, is there anything I can do to petition to free up the name? Send in a report or ticket to SE maybe? Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you.

As far as I know, SE does not make you relinquish any in-game resource except the house (45 days demolition rule).

There are plenty of dead FC and they do not give up squad.

FC and Player names need to be recycled after a certain amount of time. Not 45 days like housing but maybe 6 months to a year I think is good. If you haven't played in 6 months its a good chance you're not coming back anyway. So many great names are tied up by people who quit to never return.

me and a few friends talked about this a while ago though more aimed up inactive players on busy servers. I taught maybe after 12 months you get put into almost an archive. if you come back and no one else has requested your name or your world isn't full then back in you go. if your name has be claimed you get a free name change. if your world is full you get a free move. i guess it could be extended to fcs.

There are plenty of people who take pauses of 6 months or longer and do come back. If names are to be recycled (which is not entirely unreasonable) then being gone for something like 2 years seem more realistic.

Nah. I know loads of players who take extended breaks for various reasons. The big one being friends in the armed forces. They can quite frequently be on tour for 6 months without access to the game.

It's one of the reasons I think the demo timer on houses needs to be scrapped or replaced entirely or able to be reset by teneants at the very least. Some kind of lease / rental system. Least then these people can keep there houses when they get back from that tour. Just pay 6 months of plot rental before they go (Maybe in game ventures or using fc points. Have the demo timer start only when the lease expires.

Maybe with the mobile app that will allow people to tag in. but i agree tennats should be able to reset it

What's funny is that this FC was founded in 2013, and all 3 members are level 15 and below. I'm fairly certain they haven't been on for years lol

I'm afraid this is very much a case of first-come first-served, as annoying as this may be.

That said, it would be good for FC's to automatically disband if nobody is active for a period of time. It's not like those individuals can't start another FC in the future..
