I'd support it. Then again I imagine FC leaders would be extremely out of luck. You'd probably have a lot of players upset that each of their individual characters couldn't get a house either, but one per customer seems fair, at least on servers like Balmung and Gilgamesh with extreme overcrowding.
This doesn't solve anything. It just moves the numbers around. At the end of the day, there would still be players without housing. Then the next target would be people with multiple accounts, and you'll get threads that say: "1 housing plot per credit card (not account) solves housing crisis".
Just face facts. There will never be enough houses to accommodate everyone at the same time. And like all things in life, desire = power. If you want something bad enough, you'll do what needs to be done to acquire it. And it's fair, because everyone is in the same boat as you.
Or SE could just implement instanced personal housing rather than add on more housing wards. Everyone has a large plot of land, and can build a small, medium, or large house there depending on how much they want to invest in it, if at all. Everyone would have their own garden, their own chocobo stables, and they could still get a private room in an FC house if they wanted to, make use of FC stables if they liked.
I would support this so long as the restriction only kicked in on servers which actually have some kind of housing problem, to encourage people to stop piling onto the same worlds. My server is full of empty housing plots already and when Shirogane arrives the Goblet will be a ghost town. I want to snoop around lots of interesting homes!
1 house per account on a server which is by default shared between all of your characters on that server.
Obviously not a perfect solution but it would be a start![]()
I agree. The only downside is people like me with alts. I get that this game was made to not have alts, but there's a decent amount of people who do for whatever reason(s). Allowing alts on the same account/same server to be able to access a house would be lovely. And being able to mail stuff between alts would be lovely as well. Sorry to get off-topic a bit there. But yes, limiting houses to one per account would help a lot. And if people are worried about FC leaders, make it one personal OR one FC house per account. Cause I'm sure a lot of FC leaders treat a FC house like a personal one anyway.
Though if that isn't possible, increasing the size of apartments and adding in some kind of small indoor growbed deal for cross-breeding gardening would help. Just make it a small planter than holds three plants that can cross-breed. Like how some people in real life have a window planter.
As someone with multiple characters, yes to this.Or SE could just implement instanced personal housing rather than add on more housing wards. My forever favorite housing system will be Wonderland Online's which was a tent that every single player got at the start. How you used it or if you used it was up to you. And you could open/close it anywhere. However, it's a 2D game so it's easier to work with.
As for 3D, Aion's gives every single player an apartment slightly smaller than the apartments we have here. If you want a house, you gotta fight for one and it's not permanent since there's weekly rent to pay I believe. But what matters is that the apartment was free. I don't believe, however, that Medium or Large should be open. People gotta show off money and power somehow and what better way than just sitting on a Large 1st class plot with 0 or max furniture.
