Fate bots in the game

The amount of Fate bots in the fringes is really disturbing ... and hear me out its not a "i think theres so many players they must bot" thing ... its more like a "If 30 chocobos fly in a pixel pefect line and land on the same spot" theres something wrong.

I can understand that some players have less time then others and cant play as much but everyday there are more fate bots.



And it gets very obvious when the Maiden pops ... and is ignored, the thing that increases your exp ...



But this is not even the worest part to me ... the moment you confront them, the apperent believe is that these bots "help" us.



Is this now accepted behaviour? Are we allowed to Fate-bot? This is very fruistating for legit players!

It is very frustrating. Unfortunately, SE doesn't seem to care about bots. There are players on my server that have been bot gathering since the beginning of Heavensward and are still at it despite numerous reports from many people.

It is frustrating to see. You know... this is not the only time I've seen bots or cheaters.

For instance, I saw a number of players in pixel perfect spots doing their... MSQ? They were in the Adder's Nest. IIRC, I saw a dozen of level ups in one second. I also saw some new players literally teleporting around the map, and even shooting at enemies from underground with their Archer, as if they have noclip. This was in Lower La Noscea back when I was just grinding a new class.

Perhaps this one is but another case of the bots at work...

While bot is against the Terms, I'm more curious about how does bot affect you in this game. Unlike other MMO, bot has minimal effect at the end game of FFXIV.

All the best gil earning method can't be done by bot anyway.

Gathering and crafting can easily be botted, especially with how simple 2 star is now - you can do those with zero RNG abilities. Bots also join dungeons and PVP, where they of course perform terribly. They do indeed have a pretty big effect on endgame.

I'm assuming the end game as raiding in savage or roleplaying. For the first one, the bot can't do much to it (aside from automating the optimized rotation), so it doesn't matter.

For the second one, you probably need alot gil for it, but the best gil earning method can't be botted. Yes, gathering and crafting can be botted, but anything that can be botted is immediately not the best gil earning method because of oversupplying. For example, Everdeep was a great source of gil for quite some times because bot can't spearfish.

Personally I studied the capability of bot because that's the best way to earn gil (just do whatever they can't do). I can assure you that dungeon bot is most likely better than your average player in DF, except that they don't talk. PVP bot is a nuisance though, that I agree with.

Bots don't have to use the most efficient methods of making money.... they can literally just farm non stop 24/7/365 and sell all the loots to npcs and still make gil... Gil they then try to sell to players... thus we get endlessly spammed to buy gil... Gil that can be used by unscrupulous players to buy things like housing (or multiple houses)... you see where this is going? Best methods of making money arnt in lump sums but from a constant trickle from multiple bots on a non-stop farm...

If I were you, I'd erase every single name in those screens or you could get banned instead for public shaming.

On topic, I agree they need to work on banning them.

Yeah bots are horrible, I reported a bunch of them last couple of days but it probably falls on deaf ears I'd imagine. I still see the same people there even right now.

At no point do i state anyone in this picture is a bot, i share my concern that this is a special situation.

If this was an act of public shaming, i would get a warning not a perma ban and since that would be my first warning in 15 years with SE *shrug* so be it.
