???
You're trolling right? I consider myself a reasonable person. People erping in their private houses/rooms/party channels doesn't offend me. But hey, who am I to go about my business without worrying what other people are doing in chats I can't see?
Hey, this thread is officialy 18+ (Pages) \o/
Don't care about erp, as long as it's not in /say or /shout, and nobody is forced to do it, it's not weirder than sexting in a way... Or looking up p*rn, for what it matters. Just let people do whatever they want, as long as it doesn't involve pedophilia...
I think it's alive and well, but it's one of those things that it's alive within our communities only. I've tried taking regular non erotic based RP to public areas for people to jump into the fun, and I can say only once a random jumped in to have fun. The rest of the time people just say in /shout "Go back to Balmung!" or some trolly/harassing things. It was worth a shot, but I'm not about to put myself where I'm not wanted when I can have just the same fun in my mansion. Anyone who is interested in RP is more than welcome to visit and they won't be turned away as long as they put an earnest attempt!I've seen RP but very rarely so on Hyperion. I don't doubt its there though, with FC's like Lust around and Tepe's FC. Never really indulged it but I'm sure its fun. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. People just playing how they want to play game and who is in the right to tell them to do otherwise.
I've seen it once on Balmung and I hope I never do again. They were at a camp not too far from the aetheryte. I went along my merry way of course, because I didn't want to be subjected to erp in /say text.
RP can make the world feel more lively. I don't partake in it, but I have no complaints about it. ERP though; what you do in the privacy of your own home is your business, just don't spam it on public chat.
I not troll
the question one must ask is if they have 13 year old child who is play ffxiv do they want them see this. I not sure it good question consider how much my culture is tried brainwash children these days about this
It seems pretty consistent that everyone who is okay with ERP is only okay with it as long as it is not done in public. So that means that the poor, innocent 13-year-olds wouldn't have to worry about seeing it as long as that condition is met. Unless, of course, if said 13-year-olds are the ones actively participating in ERP, which is a whole other issue and falls under the category of 'stuff parents should be aware that their kid is doing online.' Also, one would hope that ERPers at least make some sort of effort to ensure that their partner(s) are not minors.

I'm not defending or condoning ERP. It doesn't break the rules though in terms of the ESRB rating. The rating is based only on the content in the game itself. As it says on the rating sticker, online interations are not rated.![]()
Its boring. I tried both out and i got bored real quick
