    [DEV SUGGESTION] DIADEM x SB

Alright so before I get bombarded with “NO” and “F*CK OFFs” hear me out.

Diadem looked good on paper, but it was poorly implemented resulting into a grind fest. During the first iteration the idea of having random stat gear was actually very appealing. Stats in this game are very cookie cutter and randomly stated gear was definitely in right direction.
The second iteration or revamp had the same idea except everything was nerfed into the ground. However, emergency missions were really good and challenging.(when they popped up of course).

    Proposal
When you think about it everything that was done in the diadem can be done in the outter world. We have 6 absolutely stunning areas that are underused and this is the perfect way to get people out there and working towards something between lockouts. Something FCs can organize together as casual content.
    1. Each area in stormblood has its own unique Emergency mission. 6 in total.
    2. Emergency missions grant randomly stated weapons and gear.

    Lore
Could basically be skirmishes or siege modes with the garleans.

    Conditions
    1. Fates. (Oh I know we all hate them but suck it up) Fates have a 5% chance to spawn a star fate* see 6) . In the respective area. SB only.
    2. Hunts. A ranks have a 25% chance to spawn an * rank and S ranks have 50% chance. Only in the 6 areas of course.
    3. Trials of uzuabuba (cant remember the name) 100% chance for a EM if you complete all rooms.
    4. Gathering 1% chance for a * rank.
    5. ??? With ??% basically easter eggs that can spawn Ems.
    6. Star fates 100% (chance think of the big dinosaur fate*) but only spawn when a combination of the above has met a certain parameter. There should be a unique star fate in each of the 6 areas.

    Rewards
    I. STAR FATES
Weapons 3 ilvs below the current PoTD weapon. ie HW had 235 and 255 so respectfully 233 and 253. Just an example this formula is only for SB areas. No materia slots.
Gear and Acc would give the same ilv as omega normal gear. No materia slots.

    I. EMs (These are meant to be hard, don’t complain)
Weapons will be 3 ilvls lower than 4th tier savage weapon and relic weapon. (Super Savage will probably have better weapons than both will adjust after seeing rewards.) 4 materia slots uncapped.
Gear will be 5 ilvls lower than current savage gear. 2 materia slots uncapped.

    Completion of EMs
Randomizer (randomizes gear stats)100% chance, cracked cluster, materia 6.

    Other stuff
    Normal fates / trials of uzuabuba(failed)/ A & S RANKS/ SB maps/POTD chests/ 5% chance to get a randomizer.
Duty roulettes 50/60, Trials, leveling have a 20% chance randomizer drop rate in chests. (Not in fixed parties.) Solo queue basically. Coils of bahamut and Alex normal or Savage clears w/ bonus 100% chance for randomizer. Wondrous tales.
Random stat gear turn ins give currency (Diadem currency) which let you buy a plethora of things mounts, randomizer, crafting, minions etc.
    Spawn timers after completion
    • Star fates take 2 hours to be able to spawn again after completing or timer runs out.
    • Ems are able to respawn after 6 hours after completion or failure. Easter eggs can spawn them faster, and hints are given via daily quest and weather reporter. (Separate timers for each SB map.)

Important note. These chances are all up to se including ilvls. None of this is definitive, but rather in the ball park of what should happen.
    1. Only implemented twice an expansion. So during omega 5-8 savage and 9 - 12 savage we would get 6 Ems during each tier.

    More choices.
Tome Weapons 7weeks. 10 ilvs under cap static stats. Can upgrade but static stats.

Savage highest ilv, and static stats until super savage static stats.

Relic weapon preferred and controlled stat growth but takes very long. Can upgrade multiple times
Emergency mission 3 ilvs below cap current savage cap. Not guaranteed because you`re rolling against other people and it wont always be for your class. Random stats. Gear has no shape and one generic look.

Crafting gear and weapons are the lowest ilv but fastest way to prog early on.

    Wishlist:
Rather than make them EMs strictly Boss battles, make them into a large scale dungeon or a stronghold where the players have to work with other alliances or full parties to reach the boss. 8 to 24 to queue and 100 person instances.
Or just put everything on the map.

It's a good idea in theory, but given the SE overworld servers seem to be run on paper maché I don't see it working out. I reckon ideas like this would just cause the servers to die. See: Ixion FATE. Even now it's still 90k'ing people. The servers don't seem to be up to the task of handling the overworld stuff and unfortunately I don't think the human version of the 2nd boss of Aurum Vale will allow the servers to be upgraded to handle this.

As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

True enough, this might have to be something in 5.0 then. or maybe the star fate will have to be its own instance that teleports you to another instance.

I would much rather see procedurally generated "Deep Dungeons" that you find in the overworld and then descend through. The deeper you go, the harder it gets.
Rewards would primarily come from chests guarded by powerful monsters using mechanics from random bosses from dungeons and raids. These rewards would be the previous raid tiers gear. (Example, when Deltascape V5+ is released, the "Deep Dungeons" would start dropping random V1 - V4 gear.
Materias and crafting materials would be secondary rewards from hidden chests, potentially also having gathering nodes spawn throughout, So that taking a gatherer would be beneficial.

Scale the difficulty to party size, and droprate of good loot appropriately.
Go in with 24 FC mates if you want to, and get a challenge appropriate to that many people. Alternatively, dive in with 2 friends and kill some time while catching up gear for alt Jobs etc.

When the Emergency Mission raid was released, it dropped the strongest weapons available in-game. Also the raid wiped more groups than O1S. Funny that one of the first things comming out of your mouth is calling it casual as in something demeaning, and then later you go on how super mega private ACT in-out savage will drop the strongest weapons and must be important. Like a good parrot.

The idea is nice, but man cutt the demeaning bullscrap for once. You cannot 1-on-1 compare private end game raiding to a proper public 24man raid on par with current ilevel gear. Both are much fun, and only casual if you make them casual yourself. Maybe it's too public and challenging for these groups eh?

I assure you my post wasn't meant to offend anyone. I just wanted to build a community within our own servers. Personally I feel that the cross world party finder is bad but a necessary evil. If that makes sense

Personally not fond of random stats. Even customization via materia isn't something I'm huge on.
Fixed, defined stats across the board for me, TYVM.
