Mine are actually daughters, so the cutesy animations of hte lalafell and such are rather appealing to them. Sure, there's some stuff in ffxiv that is way to complicated for a young kid to be able to comprehend, let alone enjoy.

And yes, there is a fire in the fireplace, they're sitting at their computers, and I took my computer from my office and hooked it up to the tv with my wireless controller and keyboard, so we can sit and play. They're off for the week and I took off work this week, it's cold and rainy all week, so we're sitting in the den playing ffxiv. If I could get the gf into it, she could use my mule, and bam, perfection!

Awesome to hear that so many other people play with family members, and not just siblings. Makes me feel less old... After turning 27 for the 2nd time, I was wondering if my time was going to be up, honestly my interest in video games has dwindled greatly. I really have no interest in any game other than ffxiv, my kids got little big planet 2 for xmas, and a pile of others which might have been fun years ago, but not really anymore. I feel like, before I fully lose interest and fade out, I have to fade my kids in so they can get the enjoyment that I got out of it for years on end.
