i just completed the 2nd achievement 300 mines at a tier 2 for Thanalan.

it took me almost 4 hours....

tier 3 1000 (12 hours) , tier 4 2000 (24 hours), tier 5 4000 (48 hours) and then you are 1/3 the way done so thats round

12+36+72+144 = 264 hours mining before you can get the gold pickaxe....

Ok fine its a long term goal and it makes since if your starting level 1 to have something to work along side 50, but what if your already 50? I have nothing to show for my already accomplished hard work. THIS SUCKS. Can't you let level 50 people earn double achievement points? Not that npc'ing copper ore at level 50 isnt a lot of fun over say... ANYTHING ELSE.

:-! oh i didnt know it was already posted. Yeah its just the first time they released content that i legitamently felt kind of burned by. I was fine at first then i spend an entire night and got 2 of the easeist acheivments and relized the mountain in front of me. "Wow..." says I

yes, i felt that way too and made a bunch of posts in that thread. I'm not pleased at all.
but there are a lot of White Knights out there posting in the thread as well, so you might as well bite your lip and just avoid it altogether -_-

I believe it was explained in the other topic that it wasn't a reward for the level 50s -- It was more of a system in place for the game's benefit overall.

If level 50s get 'double achievement points' then level 1-49s should get triple to counter balance it.

completely get this but the new players aren't the ones that will be paying Jan 6th. Wheres the carrot to for the player base?

I think a pick with 3 or 4 good materia would also be a better prestige to have

get just to, final fantasy games are demanding if you want the best items, i know theres gonna be a lot of tears when they release the relic weapons.
