Ranked feast is...

This is my first ranked feast season. I did practice in 8v8 before the season started and looked up guides to know how stuff works. Made it to silver and that's probably where I'll stop.

It's fun and great when you have a team that knows what they're doing. When you have a team that does the stuff the OP says though, it's really disheartening because you can't do anything about it. You just have to hope the other 3 random people aren't there to waste your time.

Honestly? I've been thinking the same.

Before I would never dream of taking my friends into team ranked since most people absolutely SUCKED at it.

But now that it's so dumb even a toddler could do it, I think a team ranked would actually flourish since you just need one good shotcaller to do at least decent.

This is what I've seen in a lot of the matches I've played with randoms, sadly only a few, long as theres someone making a call and everyone acting on it.

too many new players wont listen to the callout and focus only on what they want to attack. this is toxic in the match!

you'll just have to grind until your rank increases and then you'll start getting matched with better players.

Your rank in Feast should never be tied to your teammates' actions (or lack of them) anyway. It should be tied to your performance alone.

This is a good idea, but you'd have to decide what metric on which this is measured. It'd be a lot easier to implement now than in the way 3.0 worked since there's a lot less abilities, but I think even then it might be messy.

For example, if you rate healer based on how much they heal, you could just have white mage focus heal themselves while ignoring important targets. Or DPS measured on Damage could just attack a healer.

I worked entirely too hard yesterday to nail 3 KOs on the enemy team. . . only to watch my tank overstack medals, then try to push forward and lose it all. The enemy team got smart and found a way to even them all out amongst them, but I could neither tell my tank to not overstack, or my team to share the loads.

Perhaps with the ability to chat, and a simple "no more medals, [tank]. I'll get the next ones" we may have won that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
