    PVP ranks

What's the point of these ranks? Did they just forget to take them out when they changed the skills around? Do they have a function other than ego stroking?

In the old days, certain ranks were needed to buy certain glamour, more recently they were still used for unlocking/upgrading pvp traits. They still grant achievement points and titles at the moment. I guess that is the sole reason why they are still there.

I know what they were used for in the past. Was just wondering why they're still there is all or if I missed something. Or I thought they might have a rank matching system like WoW does (not rating, they have a pvp leveling system that's separate at end game and the DF will make groups around your pvp level and pit you against the same.)

I'd guess they're still there because they are tied to achievements and titles that can still be earned. It's probably more trouble to remove them and everything they're tied to, code-wise, than just leaving them there.
