Only if you don't want to take off your equip.Does this mean we can no longer set our own prices for repairs AND the one needing repairs has to supply the Dark matter? So leaving the crafter only getting pure exp and gil at no expence? not sure if I agree with that. Mostly the not being able to set our own price.
Can someone confirm or deny this?
There is still the old way.
You can still set repair the exact same way as always. This is just an additional option to quickly repair all your equipped gear and/or weapons.Placing a repair request requires both gil and dark matter. The amount of gil and grade of dark matter needed are determined by the repair level of the item, and are as follows:
•Level 1–10: 100 gil and grade 1 dark matter
•Level 11–20: 200 gil and grade 2 dark matter
•Level 21–30: 300 gil and grade 3 dark matter
•Level 31–40: 400 gil and grade 4 dark matter
•Level 41–50: 500 gil and grade 5 dark matter
Does this mean we can no longer set our own prices for repairs AND the one needing repairs has to supply the Dark matter? So leaving the crafter only getting pure exp and gil at no expence? not sure if I agree with that. Mostly the not being able to set our own price.

I've never seen so much childish epeen stroking in my life in one thread. What a great community /sarcasm
On topic, nice on the notes. Didn't expect the repair thing at all.

I have to agree it started so nice and on topic then it slipped, slide, and exploded into who has the bigger epeen. Need to have Horse Blinder put on people so they can only see what they are suppose to see as the topic is not on epeens but on the 1.20a notes.
I'm Impressed about the repair thing nice out of the blue item but most happy about the progress trackers on achievements now. *sits and watches the thread fall more into discord*

I posted this in another thread, but it certainly applies here as well:

so it's funny how the thread gets back on topic then shifts back to QQ. if we dropped it, why can't you?
i'd be more than happy to go word-for-word with you about it (and soundly defeat you), but it's moot. and yet you kids keep trying to get the last word on a subject that's already passed. so tell me again who needs to grow up.
now, that said-

and it is an absolute godsend for both the repairer and repairee, imo. there are obviously still things in the game that could use some work/changes/tweaks, but i'm consistently impressed with what yoshi's doing with things... especially considering he's developing an entirely new game on the side.
oh, and p.s.!
rrrrrofl
uh, did you play FFXI? while they had stuff for all level ranges, for the better part of 8 years that game revolved almost entirely around endgame. and FFXI endgame was for world-spawn mobs you had to compete for claim over.
FFXI was an *intensely* competitive MMO experience in the PVE area (but lacking 'real' PVP). this game, by comparison, is absolutely care bear. everyone gets their own little instance and tries to act like because of this their actions have no impact on others and others' actions have no impact on them in turn. people running around willfully deaf dumb and blind.
then you come to the forums and spout this nonsense about not needing competition in an MMO? speak for yourself. not everyone uses these games as pretty chatrooms.
and protip: the devs don't exactly design these games with the "i want a pretty chatroom devoid of competition" type primarily in mind, either. i could just as easily use WoW as an example of why this or any other game doesn't need people like you.
however, i've been pretty candid about how the game needs players of all demographics, and needs to keep them happy, if it aims to succeed. but this doesn't mean that your demographic needs to ruin the game for mine, especially considering there is more pretty-chatroom-type content than challenging and competitive stuff.
and, again- no one from this LS has ever tried to take something away from players who don't like competition or challenge. we've never said all quests should be heroic difficulty, all crafting and gathering should cost billions of gil to fund and/or be nearly impossible to grind. we've never said class quests should take entire alliances hours to complete. we've never said petty level 30 NMs should be 8 hour spawns and/or be nearly impossible to kill solo. so why do your type keep trying to ruin our gameplay experience by insisting there be NO competition? by insisting there be NO challenge? by insisting we have NO place in this game? and LOL to that, anyway. hardcore players are what keep franchises alive. not the casuals that log in every few days or weeks to do the new seasonal quests, chat, then log out.
stop being self-centered, stop thinking the game needs to primarily cater to you and your type, and you and your type alone. BG members have never said everyone in the game needs to care about the things we care about and like the things we like. we also have our own individual opinions outside of the collective. we're just sharing our perceptions of things- DA is no exception. nowhere did he say you needed to hold the same values as he.
so, you want to talk about getting defensive?
l2reading comprehension. stop finding excuses to take offense to the tiniest little things which upset your delicate gaming experience. or simply don't read our posts. for the most part, we generally have absolutely no problem completely ignoring yours!
your baseless sense of entitlement is both baffling and revolting.
(yes, i realize i just contradicted myself by responding, but by all means- have the last word about it)

fusional, you put that better than I ever could +100 if I could.
There should be room in this game for all of us, no matter how we want to play.
And for Darkrose saying "That doesn't mean anything though" actually, it might not mean anything to you, but it certainly does to them... I may never be the "best on server" or have the fastest kill time but I can be impressed and strive to work harder to get my kill times lower. It means something to me too.
Not everyone needs a shiny gold trophy to let them know they did well or that their accomplishment means something to everyone in the world.
Also, friendly competition IS a good thing but there is a fine line between that and an e-peen contest.
so it's funny how the thread gets back on topic then shifts back to QQ. if we dropped it, why can't you?

Sorry for being off topic again, but I wanted to make something clear.
Cool story bro, and that's great you start putting word in my mouth. I never said there shouldn't be competition in MMORPG, all I said was everyone play style is different and FFXIV competition is none existent. And lol when did I say I only use MMORPG as a chat room? It funny you think all casual gamer are like that. It just seam you guy at BG is mad . I keep seeing post about server first or fastest kill. That is nice and everything, but if you guy are that great, there no need to let everyone know on here. Have fun with your game. You don't need to be a hardcore gamer to enjoy the game though. How I see every MMORPG or most popular one is cater to casual player anyway.
And yes I play FFXI for 6 years, I'm a veteran on there and but I never brag about anything.
PS: Sorry if I offended you guy though, but please stop trying to be so elite in the game and expect everyone play style to be like your. I stop reading when I see you said casual gamer use MMORPG for chat room and not wanted in MMORPG.

I stopped reading when my brain started hurting from your god awful english skills (first sentence).

Nothing wrong with being happy that you (don't mean anyone in particular) completed stuff first in a mmo...however I think people get irritated with folks sometimes because it starts coming off as special snowflake syndrome.
