lol @ BelgianRofl... I've seen him a couple times in game troll-shouting in uldah, as well as on various boards. He's just a troll, ignore him and he'll go troll somewhere else, you know how it goes.

As for this game, I don't think anyone thinks it's fine as-is. It needs loads and loads of work, but I'll happily keep my account active until they get everything sorted out and add a nice chunk of content. No problem being patient, it'll happen eventually.

In the mean time, I haven't been playing much at all lately. In fact, I've even given Rift a try... And let me say, that game launched with a huge amount of content and quests and etc... But, all the content in the world doesn't help when the core of the game is boring. It's really just a WoW clone... I've heard a lot of people argue that it isn't, but I can tell you, it shares 95% of the mechanics that WoW used, and it's just got fresh areas basically.

I'm 4 lvls short of cap right now in Rift, and I'm bored of the game... Not the kind of bored where I've seen it all and will wait for more content, like with FFXIV... The kind of bored where I haven't seen it all, but the game just kinda sucks, and more content won't help it. It really did renew my interest in FFXIV. Now I want this game to take off even more.

I want to play an mmo, but I don't want it to be a mindless solo quest grind with shallow mechanics, crafting, combat, and everything else... I want a good diverse community, in depth game mechanics and battles, and all the stuff that FFXI brought to the table. FFXIV I think is a good successor to that, if they can put that last bit of work into the mechanics, then just add a lot of content to it.

And I'm well aware a lot of people don't want that, they want the mindless shallow solo grinds... Let them go to those other games for that. Would be nice to have at least one game on the market with a bit of depth and style to it. Some of the things I really just can't put my finger on... But even with all the flaws and lacked content, FFXIV just didn't bore me the way Rift did. When I played FFXIV, I felt relaxed and enjoyed the game.. Rift is just annoying, like, I find myself wondering why I'm playing it after a few mins of play, because everything there is to do is just annoying, so I exit the game and go do something else. I think I'm done with that game lol.

And about the cesspool thing... Well, it's the internet... There's so many snotty brats and obnoxious people trolling around, you just have to ignore them. Not a big deal imo. It's just part of life, you'll never find a perfect community.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is what we call the trolled.

Notice how long and arduous the post is and how you can FEEL the rage when this was posted. Now, these two components, along with responding to a universally stupid idea, can guarantee a trolled.

Now, pens out, papers out. We're having a quiz.

Another element, which needn't always be presented in the post, is responding to known trolls.

For example, if over half the community knows someone is a Troll, and you type out a long and cohesive post, you are, in fact, trolled.

Now, we take a look at the poster he responded to, a very well known "troll". I use this term loosely. Anyone these days are passing off as troll.

Is this all you need to know or shall I go deeper into detail Student Locksley?
