You realize his glamour is the top 100 gear from Season 1 of Feast, right? Glamour is a big deal, and what makes glamour even better? Glamour other people can't get. PVP is about winning, bragging rights, and respect---and it's built into the rewards system (I think that's great!).

He's saying that the top 10 reward should be more prestigious, but it's not, because it's something he (and anyone else) will eventually get just by participating. There's nothing to compete for at that high of a level, at least nothing worth the amount of skill/time/stress, so why try?

And you'll have bragging rights with just 9 others on your datacenter, for an entire season. We also don't know how many tickets are rewarded for each tier, and how much the weapons will cost, meaning we don't know how many players will be able to buy one after the next season.

Didn't you just say that PvP is about winning, bragging rights and respect? Surely becoming top 10 is all about winning, giving you the ability to brag about ending up in the top 10, possibly gaining the respect from other PvPers.

But I suppose they could always just remove the hat from the top 100 set, and set it as a top 10 reward. Just like the previous armor sets.

Think I'm just gonna do what Yoruno said. This is a pointless conversation. Rewards you get for being 1-100 on the board are exclusive, no one can get them. Rewards you get for being 1-10 are not, everyone can get them. That's an imbalance. You work harder for less.

There's no point in bragging about anything, if that's the reason you go for the top 10 spot then do you, but it's not worth the effort just to be able to "brag" for a season. Plus I don't see what there is to brag about in this mess we call 4v4, and I say that as someone who has hit Top 100 at least.

You're right, it's a pointless conversation, as you don't seem to understand that the weapons weren't designed as rank 1-10 rewards. They were designed for the ticket system.

How exactly was my point destroyed? He questioned whether people needed more than one weapon, and that it's not worth the effort to get a glamour piece earlier than the vast majority of the playerbase.

I care about glamour a lot. If I didn't I wouldn't even bother with pvp till they fix it. But I'm going to get it anyway just by playing. It'll just take longer but its more guaranteed to me than a relevant raid weapon is just by participating. Could you imagine if you got raid weapons just for getting close 10 times? Without even clearing? People would freak Lol.

You just described the ticket system, ok great. For the record, I don't think I'm good enough for Top10 (and I'm completely okay with that!), but the statement that was made was that Top10, the cream of the crop, arent being rewarded handsomely enough. Their accomplishments will effectively be rendered null by a sea of counterfeits in time, which makes it feel like a wasted effort. That is not a way to treat a winner, by allowing/providing counterfeit trophies, that's deplorable.

Yes, I feel like S1/S2 were the only seasons to get top 10 correctly because the crowns were showy and very limited. Part of the reason S3 and S4 were so loathed was because the top 10 reward was changed and given out to everyone for a minor accomplishment, and replaced by an earring--ugly and practically invisible.
