I'm pretty sure this is about Ffxiv and Feast, not about Overwatch. He's got top 100 rewards you'll never get because he worked for it, unlike you who feels entitled to getting those rewards with little work.

This is it exactly. With this system, why should I or anyone fight hard to get in the top 100 if i can just make less effort across a few seasons, then buy the season 5 trophy? Why would i even care to try in S6 when the reward will just be a reskin anyways?
We're at odds with the idea because it's a direct circumventing of the seasonal competition, and the rewards available only during that season.
Lace the only reason why these guys are coming out the woodwork is because PVP used to be a mode only for people who actually liked to PVP. People who didn't need an incentive to play. These guys want a participation medal for logging in and doing 60k damage in a full 8 medal match.
I wish they'd remove the rewards, the exp, the tomes. Let's see who's left. Majority of the top 10 players for the past 2 seasons couldn't give a damn about earring, they played for the sake of the pride of being a PVPer, and the respect that came with it. Square enix should be listening to THOSE players not these OF knights who want an incentive for everything. What the hell happened to the thrill of just competiting against another player?

Probably about 10 players or so, roughly the same amount that PvPed in the original Wolves' Den. (The Fold)
I'd say at least half of the top 100 is only there for the rewards, and just sees pvp as the means to get them.
What I think they could do with the season gear set rewards, is something similar to the Alexander Creator sets:
A top 100 set - akin to the savage set, with noticeable differences to the gear models, and the ability to dye it.
A non-top 100 set - bought with tickets, looking more like a base set, without the ability to dye it.

I think this would also be cool.Probably about 10 players or so, roughly the same amount that PvPed in the original Wolves' Den. (The Fold)

Oh I know. You could say having the foresight to see this happening (the moment SE caved on the top 10 minion) has been quite disturbing.
I do really love PvP in this game, but work/real life circumstances have not permitted me to rank top 100 in any season (I boycotted S4). Yet I honestly don't miss, or really care about the previous rewards. I can still log in and play and everything's fine even without having top 100 rewards.
But if it's THAT important for some players, then fight for it. Show how badly you want it through action, not panhandling.

I'm gonna be 100% honest. Some of you are just making PVPers look bad with the way you're reacting to someone asking for the ability to work and earn something they want. Calm down...
I've been PVPing for 3 years now and I've been doing it since before there were incentives as well, however I do feel like these options should be available. Options are good. If you don't want to purchase the outfits with tickets then you don't have to.
I'm 100% for purchasing it with tickets and I have plenty of friends who agree.

How cheerful to know your one friend is posting here, Kudos... Anyway, back to the matter at hand:
Nope, I've never obtained a top 100 item because I didn't like feast prior to the changes, much like you don't like feast now. Does you not competing in S5 mean you're bad at the game or that you couldn't earn it?
Seriously, Yoruno calm down. I'm not attacking you at all, but look at your posts and your tone. Relax... It's not going to kill your precious top 100 if other players can work hard and earn the ability to get the armor and mounts. It'd do nothing but make PVP more enjoyable for everyone involved. Frankly, I'm hoping if this happens, it's the Pack Wolf sets that get added. Most of the people who won that were win trading anyway and that obviously doesn't take a great deal of skill.
IF people wanna work hard and gain things, let them. Stop making a jerk of yourself, I know you're better than that.
Most of the people who won the wolf coats were wintrading? You're clearly an expert on the topic.
And I'm not against hard work? I've said a million times there is no such thing as a free lunch. That is exactly what we're trying to argue here. Did you miss that vital point? What is the point in trying your hardest to gain top 100 in competitive content when players get the same reward handed out a few weeks later?
