To be honest, basically all. With only like 9 buttons to worry about, none of the jobs are that super advance. But healers are very demanding so I would avoid them if you don't want the headache that comes with them. I would say find the job that you enjoy and stick with it. You'll slowly get used to the job and start doing better. For example, I love NIN and MNK but don't like DRG as much. After leveling both NIN and MNK from 50 > 60 in PvP, I started to get a lot more used to them and started to get kills much easier in Frontlines. And even those matches I did bad was fun since I was playing a job I enjoyed.

Alright, maybe I'll start with SAM then. Thanks for the reply!

You forgot the main tip: don't que ranked PvP for XP, you are ruining it for others.

Pardon the question if it's silly, this is my first for at into a feast season but I'm curious as to the statement but why an AST on a team is detrimental?

It's my main job so I'm quite familiar with the moveset. I WHM a lot as well, but I'm interested in what the opinion of AST as Detrimental specifically, if you all don't mind.

NO, I am queing as WAR until it is Buffed, I will drag the team down with me until SE knowledge's how badly they designed it and buffs it to hell and back.... GIVE ME MY WAR BACK!

Or at least until I hit gold... then I will switch to DRK.

What are the roles that can best carry a team by yourself? Healer, then melee dps?

As ranged (bard) I feel like I'm all burst with relatively poor sustained dps to pressure, so if I get a bad melee dps for example, it's extremely difficult to find a kill window to capitalize on my burst, and the match pretty much goes nowhere. Just trying to save myself the most frustration - let's assume I'm equally good at all.

on lower levels probably healer if team can manage medals well, on higher level battles i believe tanks, high tier matches players can coordinate without the use of chat or quick chat and all healers will eventually run out of resources, this is where tanks shine

Healers are good at carrying but only if both teams are really bad. If one team is better even by a small margin, you may as well just queue melee DPS. If you just focus the target your co-dps is attacking, you should be fine.

Astrologians is simply the weakest healer in a Feast environment.

WHM have Protect to reduce damage, Divine Bene to shield, Assize is an AoE heal and Benediction for full target heal - also with the help of Lillies to reduce cooldown period on all of these skills. Plus a Regen.

SCH has a 30 second minimum cooldown on Aetherflow - because when you use skills that use Aetherflow your Aetherflow cooldown goes down by 5 seconds. If you use Broil, you gain an aetherflow stack and when you use that stack your Aetherflow (skill) cooldown goes down even more, so essentially you have tons of instant cast heals.. plus Adlo spam + Aura Blast, great to get people off you.

Astrologian has Benefic, Benefic 2 and Essential Dignity for heals, has to rely on cards to benefit party.. you have the instant cast proc on Benefic cast + Lightspeed which is good but it is really not able to heal a focused target as well as the other two. Deorbit is pretty situational too, you have absolutely nothing to protect you if you get focused except trying to kite the enemy.

Can't say I'd recommend samurai, it seems to be the worst of the melee atm. After about 100 games I switched to Monk and had such an easier time, Midare is absolutely terrible the way things are right now, mix that with resource management and its a pain in the bum. As Samurai you really rely on the ranged to put a lot of forefront damage or backend / finishing the opponent off unless the healer is asleep. Your Gap closer also directly takes away from your ability to burst. Overall its meh..
