Can seem to get Click and Buy setup for billing. Help.

This Click and Buy process is just infuriating.

I live in Singapore. I bought the EU version of the game and registered my SE account to Australia. (because shockingly, Square Enix doesn't recognise Singapore as a country.)

Unfortunately, I didn't know better, and have my Click and Buy registered to Singapore. Which didn't come up to be an issue when I originally set it up upon release. But when the announcement of billing to be recommenced i proceeded to follow the links to reactivate the billing option. I get

    "Error
This offer is not activated for your country of origin."

    ---

I've tried with another email address (since it takes an entire f**king month to close a click and buy account) and registered it to Australia, but i still get the same error message.

I have my 3 email accounts and 2 credit cards tagged in one way or another with click and buy and they all give the same error message.

I'm at my wits end so i'd thought id post here and find out if anyone has had the same experience/found a work around.

If not, then I guess it's just too bad SE. A years worth of commitment gone down the drain. <I don't feel very good.>

This is retarded. And to be honest. Can be really simply fixed if SE would just setup a direct billing option to them. (Just downed ifrit yesterday but now i can't even bring myself to go through the punishment that is the ifrit droprate knowing I won't be able to play come Jan 6). Sigh.

C&B isn't SE's system so they can't "fix it". The error you're experiencing is due to C&B not being available for your country, as the email says, because if I recall, Singapore falls into the SEA realm of billing options, which isn't C&B.

Just wait till january to do it as that's when new options will be available to switch to, everyone will need to reactivate then regardless so payment options doesn't matter now.

Yep, was announced a bit ago.

As previously announced, we will be bringing the extended free trial period to a close and introducing subscription-based billing to FINAL FANTASY XIV, commencing Friday, January 6, 2012.

Beginning today, players have the opportunity to set up a subscription plan. Upon agreeing to the terms and conditions of subscription-based billing, we ask that you complete the procedure via the Square Enix Account Management System.

Please note that we are working to implement additional payment options around the commencement of billing in early January.

With click and buy you can choose them to test your card. I have 2 accounts registered with the same email address. 1 EU and 1 US. Especially if you use gmail account

You can also use the other method of buying Crysta. Just click it (Is it call Ultimate Pay?) Then select the paypal tab, change your contry in the top right corner. Follow the prompts.

This works for US btw, if you don't want to pay via Click and Buy.

C&B EU only works on EU, other countries like Singapore, west malaysia, east malaysia, which is under the S.E.A region is not able to use their credit cards to register under C&B EU. WHICH is sucks <_<. *am waiting for freaking more options to be able to play*

p/s: malaysia here, hello neighbor ~!

Wow, totally same as my case. I (Malaysian) can activate FFXIV game (EU) using a Clickandbuy account during release. But, after I delete it in the billing option, I get the same error. As for now, my billing option is empty, since Clickandbuy is my only option. Billing date is closing in somemore. Late minute announcement?
