Regarding Ixion Horn Drop Changes

I'm not going to lie i'm a bit salty about this. I spent a long time trying to get this mount. Should have just waited and not wasted my time...

Did you do the HW relics before the nerfs to each step? If so, are you salty because of that too?

Already got the mount. Happy to see it's much easier to get now. Doesn't devalue my Ixion whatsoever nor the time I put into getting it.

That said i'm not saying I'm upset people are able to get it easier or that it devalues my mount. I'm glad people are able to get it easier. I'm simply a tad bit salty that I wasted weeks of my time farming it when I could have been doing more productive things with my limited time. I didn't expect them to make changes for at least another couple of months time.

I highly doubt Ixion will completely die out since it's the only super boss FATE to give tokens for a mount. Behemoth/Odin get you Vanity + furnishings. Coeurlregina/Proto-Ultima gives Vanity. Tamamo-no-Gozen gives a Furnishing, Vanity, and a minion.

Can we talk about the change that was made for Ixion horn drop rate?



I think we can all agree camping Ixion is a pain but this change seemed pretty drastic especially so early in the expansion. This change effectively devalues the mount entirely because you can easily get the mount in a single day after a maintenance reset due to the 3 instances still being up.

Unlike the other new mounts added in SB, this was one of the only ones that weren't reliant on RNG and you could get from enough dedication. It's really disappointing that something so unique was devalued just because people can't be patient.

Please, tell me you are not being serious... A LOT of people where literally raging on the forums because the mount took too many attempts to get, and now, they ease the number of horns you get from the FATE and people think it's a "bad move from SE" ?

SE is prob rolling their eyes right about now.

I'm sorry, but other people have better stuff to do with their game time than to camp a map for who knows how many hours, some even reported not being able to finish the FATE due to the massive lag they got on the map, SE it's just making the right thing for increasing the horn drop. I also think that calling people impatient for not "playing" a video game for a whole day to get a mount it's unfair, since many have other obligations like work, kids, or school.

For me this mount didn't have any value from the start. When i did see how many people were farming it the first time i got close to an Ixion fate, i was like "ok, i am not going to bother with that if in the end it is going to be so much mainstream to have it XD". Especially with some of my skills not working because of too much people on the map. I always end up using back my yellow generic chocobo because it is the mount i own that hide the less the scenary anyway.

Nice change for those who want to complete their collection though.
