    Not quite. Dots tick every three seconds. So a 10 potency increase to a single dot over 30 seconds gets you 10 ticks at 100 potency total. With Miasma and Bio 3 getting a total of 20 potency increase total, it's a 200 potency increase. Tri-Disaster went from 800 potency to 1000 potency.

    So one thing that people have been echoing in this thread is to "Wait for 4.1 and then there will be the changes you want", but I don't think that is a good way to think. We shouldn't be complacent and expect that the dev team will just understand the full concerns of the job. This patch has, as many have said in various mediums, like a slap to the face. There are many ways that would help with the job in terms of potency and cooldown changes, including buffing the Ruin spells, lowering the cooldown on Shadowflare, etc. However a 10 potency increase after all the post and thoughts of in this games various communities seems bereft of any real thought or reasonable level of understanding. If there were more of a clear way of understanding the intentions of the dev team outside of the patch notes and the seemingly interspersed interviews, I for one would be more willing to accept this sort of thing to know that they have at least acknowledged some of our concerns.

    I think it has more to do with the fact that people don't want to see this place being burned to the ground over the fact that you didn't get an overhaul in a minor bugfix patch when it was said in the same sentence that bigger changes will come later. Keep giving feedback, but don't just flame on mindlessly.

    it's a 6.67 potency per second increase. At ilvl 320 we do around 21.5 dmg per potency, so assuming no DH or crits it's a 140 DPS increase at least.
    It's nice but it doesn't reduce the gap between outstanding and good players, AND it doesn't get the rotation any less clunky (so you still have to sweat your ass out to make amounts of DPS comparable to others and not be the guy pointed out)

    That's definitely fair I didn't mean to say we need to set fire to something, just I would prefer more transparency on the intentions so that people who really want to play SMN aren't in a tizzy, because when you read: "There will be adjustments", you expect it more along the lines of what DRG got rather than the small QoL stuff SMN has gotten so far.

    This. DRG was slapped as well with 4.0, but 4.05 and 4.06 really look like efforts were made to patch it up, and seriously patch it up.

    Us ? dots increased (good, 150 DPS more without changing my rotation is always a good thing), and the fact that aetherflow count even if the action miss (which happened to me with Bane in dungeons but NEVER in raid so no impact whatsoever).
    Ok 4,1, ok but they didn't speak of 4.1 (only said "later") + it will be the third time I'm waiting desperatly for something to change, starting to get angry there.

    Mood tbh. Like... I was expecting something more than this, some stopgap measure, maybe dreadwyrm aether reduction to 1 + potency nerfs, maybe progress towards aether not erasing on death, something more than this.

    It's exhausting waiting for a patch in the distance tbqh.

    Why would they nerf potency for bahamut when it doesnt even do the full amount as is since pets only do 70% potency as is from what ive been told.
