Hmmm... I never had the issue where i felt summoner was weak. I mean we are not top teir. But I can still battle against a BLM in DPS. I just want our Devotion to have a bit of a rework. 5% is great and all but proximity is poo![]()

Devotion is really weak to be honest.
Consider the following.
Devotion has a 90 second cooldown. Boosts one person by 5%.
Brotherhood also has a 90 second cooldown and boosts the entire party's physical damage by 5%.
Entire party... vs one person.
Dragoon has dragon sight, which boosts their damage by 10% and the person they are tethered to by 5%. I believe it has a slightly longer cooldown then devotion, but the same could be said for embolden, Chain Stratagem, and anything else.
one person getting buffed 5% is so small it's hardly even noticeable.

It's hard to balance skills by comparing them individually across classes, without taking into account what else that job has.Devotion is really weak to be honest.

I basically did that already though.
Devotion is the single weakest buff in the entire game.
No other class has a buff so small as 5% to a random person (basically how it functions.) Dragon Sight is a 10% buff for the dragoon, and 5% for the person they are tethered too. I wish Devotion was like this... Might actually get a benefit, other then the healer.
Embolden? 10% for self and 10% for physical damage for party.
Brotherhood 5% for entire party physical damage.
Litany and Chain Stratagem 15% crit entire party.
Foe Requiem 3% damage for entire party that lasts like 30 seconds.
Devotion can't even buff the summoner. If you do anything Solo, it's greyed out. (Ironic for something called devotion that's a pet skill and can't be used on you, the summoner.)
you know... i never even noticed that before... XD its kinda funny and sad... but yeah, devotion for both smn and sch should also be some sort of buff like spur, that enhances the pet or the user... like, the devotion skill itself gives the user some light buff and orders the pet to do its thing.

Most frustrating Devotion can land on a healer which is just as good as wasted. It feels like a filler spell to not leave a gap on skill gain through 60-70.Devotion is really weak to be honest.
