MCH buffs!

I think you're misunderstanding some of the issues some of us have. I personally picked up MCH for Stormblood because the gameplay was adaptable, flexible, and fun. Just with mechanics that worked against themselves. But SE is pushing machinist away from that flexibility, away from adapting, and concentrating all of our damage, cooldowns, oGCDs, etc, into a short 10 second period. I don't want that.

Ah. Unfortunately you picked the wrong job. MCH was always about WF play even in the old heavensward time. It's not a flexible job, you just spam until you get the next proc. And you always had to make sure ammo was aligned with wf else a dps loss. But everything they have done has improved the flow and increased the dps. Is it perfect? Eh idk. But they are going in the right direction now at least.

Crazy mashing of buttons for a short period of time and then spamming Split Shot hoping for a combo proc until WF comes back up. That's the gameplay I remember from HW, and I loved it. It took a lot of skill to know all of the different variations of which abilities to use to maximize WF damage based on CDs. If you did it right, you could do some big numbers. I agree, I feel SE has made it clear with these buffs that that's what MCH is: living one overheated WF to the next. I love it.

I do still have some minor criticisms I hope they address. I wish Split, Slug, and Clean still gave 10 heat instead of 5. I wish FT had a higher potency. I wish we had some raid wide utility beyond Dismantle. Otherwise, I'm liking it.
