MCH buffs!

Now that it is confirmed we need to OH in WF. I don't think there is any way for me to optimally play MCH in it's current state. My latency is a bit too high to fit 6 GCDs into that window. Looks like I will be playing bard for a bit until my latency improves or that dps window becomes a bit more forgiving.

I believe you can still play it quite well if you trade some crit/dh/det for a little more sks. I can do oh wf just fine with 556 sks which is extremely low (my ping to the game server is around 28ms), so if your latency doesn't let you do it you can use a little more sks, just enough to make it.
Anyway, high latency is a problem for any job. You'll lose some dps even on jobs like mnk if your ping is very high.

I would highly recommend jumping on a VPN if you don't use one already. I don't have high ping/latency but I still use one anyways to maximize my performance. Highly recommend it if you play end game seriously.

I play on 295ms (pretty crazy I know) and nope, swapping server doesn't help either.
I tried a VPN but I can't tell the difference and I also don't know for sure how I am supposed to config it anyway, but I can't even tell the difference, however, watching a MCH with 20ms~ and MY MCH, the difference is pretty noticeable as I can HARDLY fit 5GCD in one OH and I absolutely CANNOT fit 6GCD not even with preemptive Rapid Fire, sadly MCH is pretty ping dependent now to be optimal (as any other class that requires double weaving really, but MCH is over the counter now due to the short windows).
How much it helps for you? Cause IDK if I just did it wrong but it doesn't even seem to do anything for me, does it helps you fit 6GCD in a single OH? xP I don't think we're supposed to go indepth with vpn in here openly but I hate how it is impossible to send a private message to the users.

Yes. And maybe they were enough to bring the double ranged dps meta back, unfortunately.

Why unfortunately? I don't see the problem if people can just play what they want to clear quickly, it didn't make the other slower^^'

Double physical ranged meta means that all three casters are gonna hit the bench for optimal comps.

Granted, that only really works for speedrunners. Anyone under the 90th percentile doesn't even have to care about this.

'cept that a LOT of people look to what the absolute top raiders do as scripture, so we might end up seeing a lot of "no casters" in party finders. Hell, I saw one party finder still stuck in the previous meta of "no smn, no mch, no drg", so. I dunno. I hate meta-worship.

Ah ok thx, so saying double physical range meta means actually 2 physical melee characters with them. Then maybe the problem is not coming from the range but from the "mandatory" 2 melee we don't even talk about as it's so obvious they are in it when we say "double physical range".
