As i see it once those numbers are at a suitable level we'll say good bye to those extra instances

    I honestly don't get why the thought potency increases would be the band aid we really needed for smn.
    Yes the pet clunkyness is going to need time, which honestly, this should have been priority one to deal with before SB even came around, as the issues only now with pets are bright as day thanks to Bahamut, yet have been mentioned for ages. Least they could do is have reverted some abilities or gave us back M2, or something to help alleviate death issues, but they seem so hellbent on simple 'potency increases'. <_<

    I suppose we'll have to wait until 4.1 to see if there's any major changes planned for SMN/MCH. In my humble opinion both are very clunky and needlessly contrived when compared to how smoothly some of the other jobs play. It's hard for me to get excited about raw damage adjustments when the 'smoothness' just isn't there.

    I have to say, though, it's a little troubling if there is indeed 'regret' about adding SMN to the game. I can appreciate that you cannot please everybody but I imagine most SMN fans just really wanted the focus to be on summoning given how that was the primary focus of the job whenever it showed up in other Final Fantasy titles.

    Get used to that feeling because that reason is not a good enough reason in FF14 to deny changes.

    I personally think the fate should just drop the horn itself or 12 horns so people can be done with it in 1 try for Gold and 2 tries for silver.

    But if 4.1 didn't change much feel free to rage/salt or whatever then.

    Most EN forumers here are too impatient. This is not a major patch and hence, it's not meant for a major overhaul of SMN/MCH. It's a minor patch to address some more pressing issues like Ixion farmers clogging up The Lochs for MSQ progress.

    Just wait till patch 4.1 before brandishing your polished pitchforks.

    for SMN
    could have swap physick with sustain.
    could have trade tri-BIND for aetherflow CD reduction SCH got last patch.
    could have prevent aetherflow loss when used during Dreadwyrm Trance (like how they prevent devotion being used)
    buff Ruin 3/4 so it's actually better than Broil 2 or Stone 4

    none of that happened.
