Get used to that feeling because that reason is not a good enough reason in FF14 to deny changes.
I personally think the fate should just drop the horn itself or 12 horns so people can be done with it in 1 try for Gold and 2 tries for silver.

Patience wasn't the issue. People camped The Loches for hours. On medium to larger servers, it was literally impossible to zone into the instance Ixion spawned because people had flooded it. There is no skill involved with getting the mount. You either camped the instance or waited until someone called it, and that person likely had a third party program running. So... why not make it easier, thus allowing people who haven't gotten it to try?I can see why the change was needed so that they could speed up decreasing the amount of people in the loches, but I dont agree with it. Its basically made it a lot easier for people to get where as those who gained it pre nerf have kind of been shat on by making it more easily obtainable, I know it was in the first place but only by those who had more patience than others and in all honesty farming 6 of them at 2 horns per gold rank wasnt bad at all. The issue with that stemmed from the hoards who flooded the map to get on the kill which caused disconnects and those who refused to put their choco's away, so players lost out due to this.

there was no way a third party application could of even monitored the weather pattern for that map, if that was the case then websites like ariyala and other hunt sites wouldnt have a problem with it either nor would they have a problem monitoring for odins spawn in the shroud. Yes the instance was camped but that is where patience actually came into it, people would get bored and want to do other things rather than sit there waiting for the weather to appear due to the long spawn windows. This is why instances were introduced to help players who were locked from progressing their storylines and why they'll still be there for the loches after maint is over.

I can't like this statement enough (and subsequent posts with similar sentiments).... People camped The Loches for hours. On medium to larger servers, it was literally impossible to zone into the instance Ixion spawned because people had flooded it. There is no skill involved with getting the mount. You either camped the instance or waited until someone called it...
It was never a mount with any real prestige associated with it beyond the very first 6-8 spawns on each server. Getting upset/insulted over it is like... throwing a fit that people cansuddenlybuy year-old seasonal event gear they missed on the Mogstation because it somehow ruins the prestige of the old event gear that took the colossal effort of cutscenes and running around.
Sorry, the oversized miniature horse-zebra with 80's hair and a Burning Wall shard lodged in its head just isn't intended to be some elusively rare thing/ twisted rite of passage. It intrigues me how some people think this mount is gated behind any sort of skill or entitlement (ugh, I hate using that word).

I know ya'll regret adding Summoner, but what you're doing to the job now is just...

I was hoping White Mage would get some changes to Plenary Indulgence in this little patch.
I honestly don't get why the thought potency increases would be the band aid we really needed for smn.
Yes the pet clunkyness is going to need time, which honestly, this should have been priority one to deal with before SB even came around, as the issues only now with pets are bright as day thanks to Bahamut, yet have been mentioned for ages. Least they could do is have reverted some abilities or gave us back M2, or something to help alleviate death issues, but they seem so hellbent on simple 'potency increases'. <_<
