Did I miss understood how PotD should be played in groups ?

I mean random group. Personaly I just rush level trying to skip as much monster as possible to complete it as fast as possible.

Getting character level seems to make so little difference compare to weapon and armor lvl that I just reset progression as soon as I seem to hit a wall.

For soloing I can easely understand why someone would want to clear everything but in a goup session, were the goal is to reach floor 51-60 to farm it over and over I don't get. But I'm a noob so maybe someone may explain it to me ?

Floor 51+ its all about enhancement levels because your character level is capped

1-50 I find the rule of thumb is to try to stay at or above the level of the monsters on the floor. The main reason for this is mimics in these lower floors because they will always be scaled to the upper floors of the set you are doing.

My main rule and most people I generally see is just kill the bare minimum you need, for the next floor and grab any chests that are ON THE WAY. Sometimes though you have people that just want to kill every single monster and explore every single room. It's DF so hey you have to realize that going in, but it's going to be faster just blazing through then seeking out every nook and cranny.
