Thread: FFXIV 2.0 + Prestory

Some may disagree other may agree. Some if not all of the current player base remembers WOTG for FFXi. Now in that expansion you can go back to the past before the present time.
Now lets look at FFXIV 2.0 and lets look at the current FFXIV. Here is a rare opportunity that Square Enix has on there hands. Once FFXIV 2.0 is released, in stead of SE abandoning the current story they could add it in as the pre-story. Basicly those of us who have done it wouldnt have to worry about doing it again, but new players would get to experience FFXIV 2.0 in the present world and past world before meteor strikes. Now se could upgrade this pre-story to have all the current improvements that 2.0 will have.

Nah I like it how they have it now.

WE NOW are a part of history.WE get to say we've done stuff that others haven't.

Everyone should die, become part of the lore and then be reborn (with the same stats of course).

I totally can't tell if you're joking or not, but it sounds like a good idea for some reason o.O Like, if meteor struck us down and killed everyone..then some unknown force brought us back, and we had to rebuild the new world or something (which would be the new eorzea of 2.0), and then our goal would be to take revenge on our killer..?

It's a rough idea, but SE could turn it into something epic!!

Hmm perhaps after the events, then the Primal souls/spirits whatever will still be around, and you'd be able to summon those for your own benefits. (I know SE already has a plan for summoning, just another thought)

Some nice ideas here, hope they get collated and passed to the devs when the reps get back.

Lol sounds like the matrix with the machines destroying xion then the one must choose some people from the matrix to rebuild xion so the war can continue and it gets stuck in a cycle for war, find the one, destroy xion, rebuild, war, destroy etc etc.

I hope everyone who decides to start playing in 2.0 dread themselves with envy for missing out on the immaculate experience that was pre2.0 FFXIV.

I don't think anyone would want to play pre 2.0, the game has barely any content anyway.
