I wish there were ways and/or incentives to play old raids most of anything. I miss the Crystal Tower stuff for one and I think the ARR coil raids were much cooler than Alexander.

In 4.1 They will be adding a Raid Roulette (I am guessing it will be weekly and the reward will be tied to the Stormblood Relic), so Raids should be active again.
I would be happy to re-vamp to able to explore more of the old content and able to fly in the old places, theres some pretty places you never really seen because of invincible walls :P
I wont point out the positions because of reasons but heres some examples ive been and walked around
Enjoy

One revamp? Purchase on mog station to be account wide and not character locked. Apart if I could win to the lottery, there's no way I purchase in mogstation for character locked gear, especially ones from events. Even F2P are less expensive for seasonal events gear!

I wouldn't mind a temporary pause on some new content to get a revamp of Meridianum & Praetorium, merging the two areas of the old city states into one, and merging parts of Thanalan, Shroud and La Noscea into larger areas complete with flying.
The ARR MSQ needs the help more than the actual zones.
If you fed most of the filler quests into the paper shredder, boosted its exp and retooled Westwind, Castrum and Prae into single player or 4 man duties, then you will have fixed 90% of the issues that new players face. That's not as show-stopping as revamping every single zone, and is still a net benefit to the game.
The only other thing I could ask for (aside from Stormblood FATE mechanics to become global) is to address syncing. Our job mechanics are backloaded to 60-70, and we spend an inordinate amount of time running older content where it's all locked. And that makes running most old content, especially 50 or lower, dreadful.
I'd be all for them revamping old content. I've seen some people say, "Nowadays, there's not much reason to go there outside of hunts", but that pretty much is true of all new maps too... I honestly spend more time in ARR zones and cities than I do in any of the new ones (outside of Yanxia for the moment, because... reasons). Flying would really help in a few spots (burning wall, anyone?) There are a few places where swimming and diving could open up a route to new dungeons and the like as well.
Housing, Glamour, and FATEs (especially epic/30-minute FATEs) are systems that need major overhauls as well. Adjusting old hunts as well.
Considering this happened several times in SB and they even lampshaded it by saying something to the effect of, "What better way to win the hearts of the people than to... do mundane tasks for them? Well, we've done it before and we'll certainly have to do it again!", I don't think this will ever stop being a thing.

True, but that "winning the hearts of the people" stuff was relegated to sidequests. In 2.0 to like 2.3 that type of stuff was put smack dab in the main scenario. As in you HAVE to do it if you want to progress in the story. What exactly does gathering ingredients for a lazy chef in Costa Del Sol have to do with taking out titan?Considering this happened several times in SB and they even lampshaded it by saying something to the effect of, "What better way to win the hearts of the people than to... do mundane tasks for them? When you get to Ala Ghiri, Namai, etc. you have to go do quests for the individual villagers before you can move on.
I get that it's for trying to flesh out the world, and I'm not actually opposed to these quests, but the way they're just shoved straight in like that feels hamfisted at best.
That said, another change I'd like them to make (to old content and new) would be to ensure MSQs give enough EXP so that there are 0 gaps where you have to grind levels to continue.
Side-quests can be saved for Alt XP.
It's a LOT less pronounced in HW and SB though. Those MSQs are far better paced.
