Character log in screen not loading

Hey guys, having a problem - here is an image of whats happenning

basically, i log in all is fine - and it moves to character screen but they never load.

any help?

Hmm might be graphical problems or a broken ffxiv config (happens alot). Try moving the ffxiv folder in your documents/my games/ to desktop, run the config program and try again.

nah, it was a good idea. but problem still there. i tried refreshing my DNS, all internet related things ive tried. seems to be a server issue... and square hasnt replied >_>.

basically i had a crash running through Gridania, left it as i had to go out in a minute anyway. came home and tried to log on. and now i cant i just wanna play ><

Any other ideas?

Well, if some of your data on the servers is broken only the customer support can help you.

Its probably a bad cluster on your HDD, happens when things crash.

Solution:
open my computer > right click on local disk (or disk your ff installation is on) properties > tools tab > check now button > click on 'automatically fix errors' / do not click on 'recovery of bad sectors' > ok > ok to schedule > restart pc > let scandsk run > auto restart > log into game > have fun
