WoW is prolly the MMO ive played the most, but in all honesty since Wrath i kinda feel it has declined "creatively". So while i won't begrudge those that enjoy legion I personally just didn't like the overall package...and AP grinding can go die in a fire :P I still visit alot of the other games i still play alongside ff 14 though, like BnS and PoE so those i don't really miss em cuz they are still there :P (stopped playing wow cuz i ran outta ingame gold, and honestly for me close to when i stopped i didn't even think the game was worth its own currency XD)

Aion - Back when it was P2P, it was one of the most competitive open world PVP MMOs out there. So freaking fun. I miss talking trash on the forums against other PVP statics and then settling it out in dredgion matches. But being a Korean game with poor customer support, people quit the game out of frustration. Community shrunk too small to support the large pvp overworld.

Blade & Soul - Excellent combat system and great progression. I love that you can go back and solo old group content. Really makes you feel powerful. Too bad it's F2P. Sure you can accomplish much without paying a dime, but there were just too many whales paying money. Why bust your butt trying to study for an exam, when half the class just buys their A+? It really devalues your hard work.

EverQuest 2 - I had been playing it since, oh, 2007? It's hard to tell but its recent free to play iteration has been a lot easier for my friend and I to practically duo the entire game through. It's an older game for sure but i still find a majority of what it offers charming if not because of nostalgia then for the fact that it still remains a different kind of MMORPG. I absolutely enjoy some of the interactive puzzles added in some of the quest lines and the non hand-holding certain quests have. World is beyond gorgeous in my opinion. I don't miss it because i still play it.

Guild Wars 2 - Another game I just kind of duo'd through with my best friend. I like the fact that the personal quest lines could be shared and viewed by your party members. The world design is probably my favorite thing about the game. Everything is super detailed and huge. The fact that everyone is a dps was a little weird at first but it didn't hinder my personal experience. I'm not big on pvp so after the games story was done i felt kind of underwhelmed and sad. I miss certain aspects of it but otherwise am okay with not playing it much anymore.

Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures - I still play this game from time to time so I dont exactly miss it but I have fond memories of running through my stygian sorceresses story line. Hit a road block after reaching a certain level and not having access to the expansion but otherwise it was a solid experience while it lasted. Super fetch questy but what mmo isnt?

FFXI -Still subscribed. I have fond memories of what it used to be since I originally played around 2004 or '05 in my early childhood but I have no complaints with its current state. If anything it enables me to do everything i wasn't able to when I played a long time ago. I do miss the community but its an old game now.

    Dungeons and Dragons Online

Aion, Lineage 2, ROHAN, TERA -- just korean mmorpgs. they were all equally fun to me to an extent and then just tapered off after awhile. Don't really miss any of them in particular. I did play TERA the longest though because its combat was legitimately fun and made me not care about the grind so much.

I played WoW pretty consistently for a decade, and the only things I miss are the transmog wardrobe and the tick rate. GW2's another one that I played frequently, and that I gave up on after how bad Heart of Thorns was from just about every angle but the zones. Again, the only things I really miss are the cosmetic QoL features.

I love story in games, and MMOs aren't an exception. When companies screw their universes as hard as ArenaNet did with Guild Wars and Blizzard did with every one of their series, on top of having development staves that are both extremely arrogant and refuse to communicate, I just get too fed up to stay. I'm not saying XIV or Yoshida or perfect, but at the very least I don't have reason to actively dislike them.

Its basically just a streamlined version of TSW. Same story and missions (which as I said are incredibly well done and varied- with some real mind bending ones on the investigation side of things), but with s more streamlined and casual friendly combat system. Much more action oriented than it used to be.

The F2P model isn't that great (others have done it better), but it doesnt affect me as I have a lifetime sub from before.

I jumped from mmo to mmo, my previous mmo experience was with Phantasy Star Online 2.
I really miss their story Episode 1-3 (didn't like anything that follows it), especially since basically everything in PSO2 is voiced, which made it a lot more immersive.
Oh, and i missss their variety of character customization.
But my heart is still here for XIV <3

MMO Wise, FFXI, regular games? I went through quite a lot of them this year already, like Nioh, Horizon, Zelda, Mario Kart, etc. just to name a few. Hopefully once the loot and ilvl mindless grind takes it's toll on me here in ffxiv i'll hop on ffxi to play GEO / BLU to remedy my longing to play them! Here's to hope, just like they added RDM, they'll add those two jobs to completely make me forget FFXI!
