i mean: yes, it NEEDS to look good. but that's not the point. the point is: why is the raid gear so ugly?

Progression, people will wear it for few months and they will dump it
because 1) better gears released 2) lack inventory 3) -NOT- an exclusive for calamity salvager.
It's common to put least favored on fastest things people want new stuff for.
If people never wanted new content for raids, maybe they will put an exclusive for it.
