The problem is not even the fact that PVP gets some exclusive reward. The point it that they are recycling old design and the actual new content we get patch after patch is being reduced.

With SB they touched a new low-point in gear design. At least in HW, a vast majority of the loot we had were new design (both crafted armors and dungeon loot): we started to get recolored /recycled gear with patch dungeons. Now, it's clones-everywhere.
It's not a huge issue because there should be other reasons for playing an MMORPG but if the number of dungeons will be reduced because of reasons, if raids and primals are not challenging (less phases, normal modes being "nerfed" version of the actual savage ones) if even seasonal events (which are casual and the developers care most for casual players, right?) feature recolored gear .. what are they focusing on? On the emotes and exclusive gear to be sold on the Mog Station? On useless attempt to bring people into PVP which is still played by a minority (people farm it for a while so they get the gear and then leave it: if the team considerd this a success, well... gg).
