I started playing last week or so. I settled in Ul'dah, wanted to visit Gridania, but I couldn't teleport anywhere, since it stated that "no current locations avalaible". I had to go to Gridania on foot, "touch" the aetherite crystal, and then I could port back/forward to/from another city.
you can piggy back a friend who has it in there port list i think he meant that but forgot type that part in the post or something who knows
