If Pugs and Monks are overpowered compared to other Melees in this game when they make use of their buffs, THEN I will agree with you.

...Ah, but they do have a unique edge. Their DPS is comparable to any other melee off-stance. Perhaps it is slightly lower, but definitely not by much at all. When you exploit an elemental weakness though, PGL's AA hits like a string of weaponskills, and its weaponskills hit like a series of tanks. That is what I call a unique edge. As if that elemental exploitation wasn't enough, the stances each come with quite the drastic buff to a stat at no cost of another. All of these buffs, at the cost of a very manageable MP drain.

Please skip trying to explain to me how my favorite class works, I can understand the simple stuff.
While I have the "edge" at some elemental enemies, my powers become useless against other enemies (amaljaa) and in those cases it's not an edge at all.
Aside from that try to understand that I have to put materia that boost all my stats instead of some of them like Lancer for eg.
I have to consider my MP, my HP, my VIT, my Piety, my INT, STR, my attack power, my elemental attack, critical, magic critical, ACC, M.ACC etc etc.
That not an edge, that's a guess game, boost something and hope to be effective.
Are you guys even try to understand that there are some problems with this?

Really? I just boost INT and STR. Works just fine. LNCs worry about PIE and STR. Sounds simple to me.

I'd understand if you were referring to GLA, MRD and mages who have more to think about when choosing which attributes to focus on.

I honestly rather not try to explain our favorite class to you, but more and more I'm feeling like you don't quite understand it.

As for the Amal'jaa example, like I said PGL's base damage output is very comparable to the other classes. Having a unique edge on a a lot of mobs is already something.

INT and STR boost PGL AA damage. INT does it more so. These have already been tested. Also versus certain mobs, Fists of Earth will boost your damage to be higher than Fire or no-stance.

PGL has no use for them, unless you somehow decide you want to use Offensive Magic spells on PGL. I doubt you do, given you are particular about your MP consumption. No the stances do not count as offensive magic.

Same applies with accuracy and magic accuracy?
How about elemental boosts like fire materias?
