    WOW! Super kicks!!! :D

-_-; really SE? using your legs drains MP? (as monk) damn. Might as well implement mp draining while walking!!

Please explain to me how this makes sense.

Increase dps at the cost of MP.

The MP consumption is so that the Monk can channel the spirit of Shawn Michaels properly.

You'd think they would come up with a more clever way of using that concept. . .

also the post above mine is win.

Any suggestions? PGL is already clearly going the route of using MP drain to increase DPS. Why should adding a kick as what will likely be a 3rd hit in each AA of the MNK be different?

So you're saying it's better design for us to manage MP for our elements and manage something else for our Kicks? What would that something else be? TP drain? Does that honestly sound better to you?

Class/Job design-wise as well as gameplay wise it makes a whole lot of sense. Immersion-wise it's not so clear.

Are you trying to say MP for adding Kicks is ruining your immersion?

Immersion means jack-shit if you don't DEFINE it.

MP is a resource like any other. Monk uses MP as it's resource to manage his Elemental kicks (not just kicks, but ignoring the fact makes your point definitely more credible).

Managing resource is The way in giving depth to any playstyle. Whether it be HP, MP, TP, stamina gauge or recasts is up to devs to decide. why MP out of all resources somehow provokes such a reaction from Pugilists is mind-boggling. is it because Monk in XI had an auto-pilot-occasionally-recast-managing "playstyle"? You can't be that hopeless.

Its easy to see what is going wrong here, Melees have to manage their TP, Mages need to manage their MP, Pugilist and Monks MUST manage both.
On top of that Monks will be the only classes that will not be able to focus on something stat wise because all stats will take an effect on us.

THATS why MP makes no sence, are we allowed to complain now?

Correction: Melees have to manage their TP, Mages need to manage their MP, Pugilists can chose to use MP as well to give themselves a unique edge. They are in no way required.

Yeah no required at all, you either play gimped or you use whats given to you...
If Pugs and Monks are overpowered compared to other Melees in this game when they make use of their buffs, THEN I will agree with you.

EDIT: Sorry not "overpowered", if they have a "unique edge" over the other classes.
