[Request] Can we have shared house chest similar to FC chest?

The FC chest where you can share gil, shards, clusters etc... I would like to have a similar chest but for shared houses.

I share my house with three friends who like to gather and craft. This chest will help us put everything in one place with easy access

Can this feature be implemented?

While I'm all for more storage space, attaching it to a limited resource like housing is not a good option as it just makes buying up multiple houses even more lucrative. You can always mail the materials/gil to your friends as needed for now.

While I agree with Dustytome, a place to store stuff in your house seems... <.< Practical.. Would be great for roleplay, too, but alas there are those that abuse such luxuries.

Every feature can be abused, doesn't mean we shouldn't have it. Houses can be made into FCs of one person just for the airship and workshop for example.

At the moment, we are trading and sending everything to each other by mail. And tracking mats/consumables using a sheet.
Just having this chest will make things so much easier

All the owner's houses will share the same chest, so more houses will not mean more chests.
Similar like all the FC safes in every city are still the same single safe for a FC and not many different safes.

Personally, something like that shouldn't be something for the special people who manage to buy a house when they're as limited as they are, not to mention this would just get around the item spaces we've been allotted by the game on its own. 140 item slots on you, and then 175 per retainer, with each person getting 2 (More if purchased)

Many people who don't share a house would get more storage that other players wouldn't get.

If the chest worked in apartments, apartments allowed tenants and the chest pulled up the same inventory even if you have both house & apartment then I wouldn't see a problem with it as apartments are readily available on nearly every server. They'd have to create menus as to which chest you were accessing too of course, because if a friend had their own storage in their apartment and you had one, that'd be problematic with sharing.
