Lol *thumbsup* if you read this 'cause you were bored waiting for patch and actually felt like you were watching a soap! Too bad it didn't end with Rowyne learning some moral lesson about looking before leaping or something similar xP.

The immaturity meter is off the chart in this thread. Give it a rest, people, and try to grow up a bit. I came here to read about the patch, and I end up with a bunch of troglodytes bickering at each other! Live, and let live. Try to understand that people can have opinions that differ from your own. Accept it, and move on.

LOL, wanting to spend time with my husband is co-dependency?Actually, it's relevant due to the misinformation they spew and how it is obnoxious to see this misinformation while they openly reveal their illness. Which I don't have a problem with calling out. The only things I feel are too low are things people cannot change about themselves. Race, gender, sexual orientation. You can change your way of thinking under a mental illness with help. Might not be something people like reading, but I don't find it unreasonable to be said.
My husband and I started out playing FFXI together. He left after a year to go play WoW. I continued in FFXI for three years on my own, while he led 40 man raids into Molten Core. It actually caused distance between us and made us sad that we couldn't spend time together doing activities that we enjoyed so much. So, since my friends had finally all quit FFXI anyway, I moved to WoW with him. And I didn't regret it. We had so much fun, that we now play all our MMOs together.
It's not co-dependency. It's being a responsible adult and putting your marriage first.
I'm sorry you don't have anyone special in your life to spend time with, Brucey. Maybe when you grow up someday, you'll understand.
Oh, but I did. Morale of the story is, don't try to reason with trolls and white knights. The end.

Oh, but Rowyne, if you won't try to reason with trolls and white knights whatever will you do on these FFXIV forums? Is there even anyone else to talk to?

theres alot of us who are normal folks who arent either, but the whining is so bad we have been clumped in with both sides purely because we havent taken sides

Very true. The negativity and frustration have pushed nearly all the rest of the norms into doing so, unfortunately.
I find I now snap at people in ways I never would have previously considered.
Good for you for remaining one of the good ones, Thevedis.![]()

lol, i wish more people realized im one of the good ones
ive been labeled as a troll by tons, and as a white knight by others
all because i like the game and defend what i like about it!(while discussing changes that need to occur in a constructive way rather then just bashing whats not perfect like the trolls do)

Personally I think combat is full and fun across all level ranges (much more so than it used to be).
It is kind of ridiculous to expect to have all the skills a level 50 has but at the same time I can understand the need for lower level gameplay to not be devoid of interesting skills and fun gameplay. However, that was the old system not the new one.
In the old system I'd get the same TP move every 2 levels with no real difference to it and at level 50 you'd have a handful of good abilities plus half a dozen useless ones. In the new system every skill feels like it has a use or a purpose and we even get traits later on that modify our older skills giving them fresh new uses/effects. I'm sorry but it's damn good design (especially given the old bland classes) and I'm totally in love with the new classes and combat style.
As for those no-TP abilities that deal damage...please no. I had 3 of them on my pgl and all they did was clog up my action bar. You'd just run your finger along all three of them and then stare at the recasts on them. You couldn't even look at the actual fight occuring on your screen. What did they even do besides generate TP? All they did was give you 3 free auto-attacks. They didn't make the fight more interactive, they just made me wonder why i have auto attack plus another 3 instant use auto attacks. Besides, maybe we shouldn't be going straight into a fight and firing off everything we have, maybe it's nice to actually have a bit of pacing?
