Yeah, I only play healer, but healer is doing 2 jobs, healer and DPS. DPS one. I have to maximize too the cures, and the time I have for DPS, and have absolute control about mana consumption.

If you (DPS) die, you can resurrect, if a Healer dies in a dungeon is wipe, in Raid stress for other healer and problems with mana when you get resurrected.

This is SE fault, healers shouldn't have to do 1k-1.5k in raids. Besides, I have seen pretty rage with healers on PF.

It's because the DD job requires as much activity as healer job only if the healer is both healing and DPSing (in most situations). If the healer is only healing, they will be much less active than a DD who is playing their job fully. I once did a dungeon run where I was only healing and was active for 17% of the dungeon, even with 35% overhealing...

Healer should do DPS too, don't take wrong my words. This topic is about the OP can´t find a healer for Omega Savages. If OS4 need plenty of AOES cures and 1.5k DPS from each healer, is a bad design and stressful task for many healers. Toxic community to blame healers when wipe is not helping too.

Well you were talking about dungeons too. I have raided as a healer (not anymore) and have always contributed in DPS in addition to healing. Now with being a DPS for raids, in my experience I'm now working just as hard as I did when I was healing and DPSing.

I think this is a strong reason as to why I switched roles. Many situations for me dealing DPS along with healing were heavily dependent on if my party/group seemed like they were managing ok (not eating poop & dodging avoidable attacks) then i would happily throw in damage as long as I left myself about a 40 - 40% MP threshold for healing situations minus the "oh crap" moments where I would have to pop a potion for hp/mp if I was out of mp regen cool down's. For that reason I've found it more enjoyable to explore other classes now that I originally never thought to give the time of day.
