It's not ruined, just not as interesting as SCH or AST. A lot of WHM's kit is considered bread-and-butter healing essentials, which is why they had moves "stolen" for the Job skills. But now instead of being the healer you only bring for progression or because it's all your friend plays, it has its own niche in sheer numbers. Bring a WHM for progression, then keep it so you can have another DPS instead of a co-healer if your group is good enough at the fight. SE is clearly making WHM the best at big heal/personal DPS numbers and mana efficiency- and that's great.

If you're looking for a healer with more complexity or APM you can play the other two. They could totally scrap PI and make it something I want to use more than once a run even in Savage though. They definitely dropped the ball on that.
