It's not ruined, just not as interesting as SCH or AST. A lot of WHM's kit is considered bread-and-butter healing essentials, which is why they had moves "stolen" for the Job skills. But now instead of being the healer you only bring for progression or because it's all your friend plays, it has its own niche in sheer numbers. Bring a WHM for progression, then keep it so you can have another DPS instead of a co-healer if your group is good enough at the fight. SE is clearly making WHM the best at big heal/personal DPS numbers and mana efficiency- and that's great.
If you're looking for a healer with more complexity or APM you can play the other two. They could totally scrap PI and make it something I want to use more than once a run even in Savage though. They definitely dropped the ball on that.

I love WHM more now than I did back in HW.
We're more streamlined, and our heals are powerful. We have less utility and group buffs, but meh. I don't need those. My DPS is strong but yet simple, my heals zip all the HP bars up in a flash, and I've got so many options when I need to heal somebody and they are effective. Sometimes I mix things up for fun, I have nice instant-casts, and the whole package as a whole just seems.... fluid and pleasant.
I find myself loving SB WHM.


White Mage are in a decent spot but still has problems. I don't understand how people find this class fun. Its the same thing we been doing for what two years.
Whm and healers in general feel really boring. I also wish this identity crisis would be dealt with.

Sometimes less is more. Sometimes simpler is better.
WHM is indeed simple, but when you ding 70, you get several more tools to weave in. I know awhile back I made a thread bemoaning my difficulties in finding a use for Plenary, but I've gotten a bit more used to it (and started using it more) and it's fun to try to find situations to make it useful.
WHM is that thing that is simple, tried-and-true. You know it works, and works well. It isn't flashy like the other two healers, and it doesn't have all the fancy little buffs n stuff, but it is a solid rock when it comes to healing. It does its job, and it does it well, despite it being "boring". Personally I don't find it boring, but then I'm an older player who doesn't have a short attention span like some younger players seem to.

can you make a holy II?? i literally see nothing else wrong with master healer WHm besides that, holy is outdated and ugly. THANKS


Cure and Cure II got buffed tho.What? WHM is in a decent spot right now, but they currently have the fewest abilities of all three healers by a pretty decent margin. The removal of the 20% boost from Synastry was a buff. The healing steroid is now decoupled from the healing copy ability, and may be used together or separately as the AST chooses. Largesse was a nerf to WHM, not AST.
