Remove the mouseover popups.

Can you possibly remove the mouseover popup windows. They are a really big pain in the butt. They are on everything. It makes selecting items, spells, items on the Market Board, skills ect: harder because you cannot see anything else because you now have a stupid window popping up on everything. You could at least make it an option to be turned off. If a person needs to see the details of everything they move their mouse over they need to work on their memory. I know it is something that new players might find useful for a while but they don’t need to be in the way all the time.

Please if nothing else make it an option to turn off. To me it is one of the biggest turn offs of the game play along with the crazy cut screens.

I believe you can adjust it's size and position where it will appear in the UI menu. That way it'll be less of a pain for now xD

There is a way to hide the pop-ups. It is under the Active Help Options under Config.

There is no way to reduce or to hide the popups at all. I've been threw every part of it and no matter what you do when you put your mouse over something like say a "spell" or an "item" you get the popups. That is the kind of things that needs to have some way of disabling them. Active help options don't do anything and it isn't under config, its under system.

Character Config > UI Settings > General (scroll down). Set to Fixed. Use HUD Layout to move it to an out-of-the-way location.

You can also turn off Item Help by unchecking "Display Item Help" and Action Help by unchecking "Display Action Help".

Well, I mean... no layers, so it's technically just a hidden/unhidden extension so I can see why they don't use the term "pop-up" exactly. Maybe that's the reason? The term comes off negatively, too. Call a spade a spade, sure, but if it were shaped like shovel used only to pick up horse poop and it wasn't actually stained with horse poop, you might not want to call it that. But yeah, a "help" pop-up... /rant

This is the wrong forum for this thread, BUT.....

I will add that I have the same exact annoyance as the OP, but the problem is.... without those "Item Help" or what-not, how are you supposed to know what anything is, or does if you turn them all off? I mean I need at least the minimum amount of information about an item otherwise I just get an icon. What they needed was a delay.

"Don't show popup unless you've held the mouse over it for X seconds." and the X seconds is the setting you can modify (and indeed set it to 0 if you wish). That would make so much more sense, wouldn't it? If you set it to 3 seconds+ then you would probably never see another one ever again unless you _wanted_ to.
