Tab targeting broken?

Hi! So when I switch targets with TAB, most of times it targets someone who's barely on my screen "miles away". I'm wondering if you guys have same problem and how you deal with this? I even changed in settings, when weapon is out, that it only targets duty mobs and agro mobs, but it doesn't work.

Yup, tab target is awful in this game. You pretty much just have to either click, or angle your camera so that you only tab through the enemies you want to.

I saw someone point this out in, idk, a bug thread or something (clearly nothing's been done about it so far), but apparently despite your settings, all it wants to do is cycle from left to right. Proximity is never taken into account. So if the closest mob to you is on the right side of the screen, the game will first want to cycle through every other mob to the left of it until it finally targets the threat.

It's kinda impressive that it's been like this for so long. It truly is terrible design.

Probably designed for controller. Controller you can hit right or left directional button and it goes from right or left, and you can set filters like aggroed enemies, all enemies, only party, etc.

Maybe. But there's also the setting "nearest to farthest" or whatever, which doesn't work at all. I'm not even sure I've seen the filters work the way I would expect.
