"While in Shield Oath, you passively generate Oath Gauge at a significantly slower rate"

    Not reeeeeally.

Holy Spirit gives you 20 Oath Gauge when cast in Shield Oath.
That's 100 Oath Gauge every minute + whatever you get from blocks.
Auto Attacks in Sword Oath end up having a very similar pace.

Read again. Emphasis on "passively". Holy spirit is not a passive action. The guide well does indeed mention Holy Spirit's Shieldoath effect.

    Correct.

However, he's using "significantly slower Oath Gauge generation" as a reason to "stay out of Shield Oath." I'm pointing out that, in the end, both stances generate Oath Gauge at almost the same rate; therefore it's not a valid reason. And let's not argue semantics. "Holy Spirit is not a passive action." Given that every Paladin rotation uses Holy Spirit five times a minute it pretty much is passively obtained when in Shield Oath.

thank you for sharing. this is a well thought out guide

I am not condoning that you attempt to jump into a fight that you’re not familiar with, with random people you found in party finder, and stay in Sword Oath for the entire fight, but your DPS is almost as important as your mitigation, and you should always strive to improve in both of these areas.

I just wanna say, thanks for using the Oxford comma in your title. Haven't read through it all, but looks good so far.
