Riding an angel?... I cant think of a lore-appropriate explanation for this. Unless it's like, some kind of amdapori gargoyle controlled by magicks, but seems kinda farfetched to me.

Wings alone could (possibly) fit - aetherial wings, or magitek, either ironworks or of garlean design. There's a couple of possibilities... although I personally dont really see the appeal in this :/ could be that i'm just negatively influenced by the atrocities that are the korean angel/devil glams. Ew.

Mounts have gone out of control since the day the fat chocobo learned to fly. Now we have Water Serpents that fly high in the sky along with armoured bears while the fat chocobo still hunts a cake down under the sea.

They got WAY more than that. WHM, BLM and MNK AF 1 sets as well as the miqo'te starting racial sets as armors too, and I'm pretty sure that's not all of it either.

Yes to this type of wings made of light, just reshape them so they resemble actual wings, I hope SE doesn't manage to destroy the idea and comes up with dung!...
