I wish they would stop with the pointed hat thing, for casters - even Shatotto, the founder of BLM, finds it ridiculous.

Not fond of all The robes either, in most cases - they don't seem very practical, and like they would be really annoying to wear IRL.
Anyway, they usually design gear around where you get them - gear from The Burn has a very post apocalyptic survival theme to them.
So since HW was centered around ishgard, the gear had mostly middle ages, religious themes, or practical - i particularily love The Vault weapons, cause they actually look realistic/functional/practical.

SB gear have eastern look to them, or ala mhigan.
Not sure on the theme for ShB
But there will be a change in theme though; will be interesting to see what we get.

No more pointed hats? Ok more circlets/little pieces of metal glued to your head/face!

I think I should to tell you guys that the Bonewicca and the Skalla sets weren't actually made by SE. They were fan made. They have gear design contests from time to time.
That's probably why you guys like it so much.

I'm a sucker for long coats but i have to say we get waaaaay too many robes and skirts for females. I just hope when they decide to not give us a robe people won't be mad because it's not what they had in mind. (people are still going to complain aren't they...)

edit: I would also really appreciate it if SE stopped putting any sort of plain boots in the mogstation.

It still looks like healer gear, keeping the priesty aesthetic, but is more battle ready and you can actually see the limbs. The AF2 is kiiinda close, but the skirt is obviously a skirt and looks horrible on male characters... and yes, I like the so called 'butt capes' lol
The Lv62 Ruby Cotton Chasuble (sp?) is actually close to that, other than the front skirt being longer. (I wish they'd changed that on the male version at least - would make it look a lot less "dressy" and more like a tunic for them.) it comes with tiny short-shorts for a similar look.

I own a lot of glam and a majority of anything with complexity or good design is a cape or a dress or a overcoat or side coat or half coat or 3/4 coat or 1.375ths of a coat.

Sky rat stuff is what we need, not more trench coats.

I would love some gear for females that has pants! Not a skirt and stocking, PANTS.

It would be nice to also not have long coats for tanks and melee DPS, specifically DRG and NIN. The way it's usually attached to both legs makes it look really ugly when they unsheathe their weapons, because it stretches or separates and looks god awful. It's almost impossible to find something for tanks and DRG that don't have stretchy leg coats or floating pauldrons.

Implement a glam system like WoW and all our problems would be solved.

The Bonewicca coat for tanks breaks my heart for this reason. It looks nice, but I wish there was a variant without the skirt.

I know it won't be available, but I'd really love to wear the new Goldsmith outfit on my Scholar. A straightforward set of pants, a shirt, and a nice fitted vest that isn't gender locked or decorated for Halloween. To me that can still say Scholar, healer, or mage without being weighed under layers of coats, cloaks, skirts, and so on.
