Nope, loving it. Sorry!
(The forums are weird as usual right after an expansion though.)

I'm also disappointed that they didn't add (yet?) a single new gameplay mechanic with their 2nd expansion.
I loved SB's MSQ. New areas are gorgeous. New jobs are fun to play. I like that they changed how crafter's quests work.
However they really need to add other kind of end game contents. They have gorgeous areas. Those shouldn't only be used for hunts (which are boring as ever) or gathering. Fates were a nice idea during Vanilla, it's time they have them evolve into something people actually care about. WoW went into the right direction with World Quests. I'm not saying they should do the exact same thing, but at least they found a way to have ALL areas being constantly used and meaningful.
In FF14, once you finish MSQ, you're basically afking in your favorite city waiting for your duty to proc.
Sure you can level alts (which you won't be able to gear as your main), you can craft, you can hunt achievements, etc. But there isn't much you can do with your main. Still the same old formula which they should've changed by now. 2nd expansion should mean new way to play too. Not the exact same kind of content as the 4 last years.
At least they were able to change pvp for the better. Now I'm waiting for them to add pve content that will mix things up for the end game.
Yes, looks like you "wasted" your money.
FFXIV is a casual MMO and after the first busy month\week the game is built around people that play a few hours a day and/or a few days each week.
You see your "main" job as being stagnant with no ability to progress gear beyond the gated content yes?
I see my character has (for the time being) perfected one job out of 26 and has many other opportunities to adventure and explore.
You play your way, I'll play mine but I'm sad you don't see it the way I do. It's so much wider an experience than you're giving it credit for. You aren't your "main".
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
Diving
Blowgun attacks
Only if you limit yourself to raids

Well I do level some alts, have my crafters/gatherers ready, however there isn't a single thing I did to level them that was new.You see your "main" job as being stagnant with no ability to progress gear beyond the gated content yes?

Going through PotD with my Samurai or running Copperbell mine pushing two buttons wasn't exactly a mindblowing experience.
I'm happy you enjoy going back to old content with other jobs and I wish I could be too, however I'm disappointed at the lack of new things to do once you're max level. It also doesn't help that with their recent gameplay changes, several classes are simply not fun to play before level 60s+.
I do hope we'll see blowgun attack makes it return in reputation quests!
As for diving, can we really say it added something new? I was happy during my first dive session, however not only undersea areas are way too empty, the fact that they didn't add undersea combat quickly made it kinda useless. I enjoy being able to dive, but now that's it's here, they need to make something with it. Are you truly happy simply diving and... doing nothing but gathering/swimming?
Am bored of the same stupid formula SE seems to love clinging to, but then again that's why I hardly log in anymore. When the 40+hr work week is done I've got Diablo 3 and overwatch for entertainment since 14 has been the same shtuff since 2.0
I admit, my playtime dropped drastically for a couple weeks after they added Omega. I'd do the raid and then log off for a week. Now that Creation tomes are added, I'll be on once a day to cap tomes basically, but I don't see myself doing much else. I absolutely despise the crafting system in this game, so I rarely do anything with it (I much prefer being able to explore the world and level a battle class while leveling crafting and not sitting in one spot staring at a bar... That's why I don't play a healer). So, the only other option is to level other jobs (I just hate having yo constantly go through the crappy inventory system to find gear or even room for gear).
I have to wonder, though... Is there a way to level a battle class and a gathering class? Like using cross-class skills to identify nodes and then a macro to quickly switch jobs to gather and then switch back to killing things. It would make leveling botany and mining less mind-numbing.
I get the feeling that the OP wants say a weapon that will be relivent until the next expantion that needs 50,000 items to obtain/upgrade that has a 0.1% chance of dropping 1 to 3 items from a fate which has 15% chance of poping each hour, which is basicly how FFXI did it, well if you ask me this is not FFXI this is FFXIV, which caters for a diffrent user base
