I got what I wanted when I payed for this expansion, more story, new jobs, new places .. etc etc. There is a story for EVERY SINGLE JOB that goes to 70. There are side quests with story and lore in them. There are easter eggs to ferret out, vistas to find and fates to do.
there is a LOT to do, I still have all my crafting to get past 60, I JUST finished 2/3 gathering classes to 70 and am now using those to build Gil and farm items for crafts (and I need dem 61 expedition pets!), I'm gathering glamour peices for my new jobs, learning new rotations for all the jobs and I haven't even gotten all the jobs I like to 70 yet.
I personally don't think twitch views is a good indication of how good a particular game is.. it's people WATCHING people play the game, which is a different market. I don't want to WATCH.. I want to DO! my friends want to DO stuff with me. Not watch me play games.
I don't believe for one second that NOBODY complained that there was nothing to do after WoW or any other games expansion. People will always complain once the one thing they consider "content" has been exhausted : I have max level/stat gear, I have nothing to do. I finished the story, there's nothing to do. I have all the spoons available in the entire game, I have nothing to do. The list goes on and on. People will ALWAYS complain.
I'm not gonna white knight and say this game is the best that's ever been or even the best currently available. I WILL say For me, and what I paid it's worth it and will continue to be worth it if they continue the flow of content that has kept me happy so far. When the next grind that gives me my purple weapon comes out I will dive right into that as well but it's not going to be some insane light grinding fest like I've heard some other people do. I will play my 4-7 hours a week that my job/life allows and when I get the shiny thing I will be happy and another will be available.
Sorry you feel this game didn't have enough stuff to keep you busy, but I don't think anyone promised anything they didn't deliver.
