    That's it done.. no more endgame content to do till next week's reset. Then a couple of hours in omega and done again till next week.... there is very little content at any given time.

    I could perhaps level another job but that is really not an end game or progressive activity.

    I'm not exactly bored yet but honestly this is the end result of all dungeon crawler games... The dungeons get old and start to feel the same... This is why a mostly silent minority have been irregularly posting for openworld content or serverside content that is usually more about the journey and less about the destination. Don't even try to talk about fates and that bullshit cause those are not creative, fun, exciting, dangerous, social openworld content at all, pls... It is about the time socializing and gaming towards a goal and not about running it x amount of times until you get y gear (yes gear is still a motivation but if thats all you are thinking you are missing the point). Another problem is that fights are scripted so the only xfactor towards them being fun is when players make mistakes and shit hits the fan.. In those moments the player's skill, intuitive thinking, and fight intensity reach their peaks. A moment of mistakes is more fun then the scripted battle where everyone is waltzing on key with the boss in my opinion.

    I often times wonder what would have happened if Hiromichi Tanaka had remained with a realm reborn and was in charge of openworld content development. In before some nerd says, "another failure"...

    I'm not bored...yet. I think it's only been 3 weeks since I started playing again. I still have a few things to do like level up my jobs, farm for ex trials and Omega, maybe try out the savage version etc.

    They did say they'll make new content in odd-numbered patches but if it ends up being another deep dungeon or another exploratory mission and just plastered "NEW CONTENT" on it even though it functions the same as the old ones then we're not really getting anything new, are we? Hopefully they're different this time or at least improved since they did mention those.

    Literally Yoshi P said that he doesn't want the game to feel like a job and be a total grind fest. He said that people nowadays like to play other games too, so its purposely designed so that you don't feel like you have to spend all your time in this 1 game.

    Whether that design choice is a good one is subjective, but thats what they've gone for.

    I for 1 am okay with it... mainly why there were so many people during launch is because some "famous" twitchers played the game at launch so the viewers got bumped up. ffxiv in general will never have a huge viewer base, same as any mmo...

    The OP is 100% right. This "expansion" was nothing more than a glorified patch. Same routine, same system, same cycle. Everything is the same with a new coat of paint.

    what do you expect, are we gona stop having dungeons, are we gona stop having ex primals, do you not want anymore more raids thats the very core of the game. Yes I hope they add extra stuff but dungeons raids and primals are never going away, I just dont get what everyone is wanting this is coming from someone who plays prob ten hours a day and I have tons of stuff to do

    I don't particularly understand either. I'm on summer vacation from work and school so I play a lot and every day I find something to do. People just get very locked in the "end game only" mindset when in reality there are quite a lot of things to do. I bet most (keyword : most) of the people complaining haven't touched Savage or PotD 101+/Solo, if they really don't want to do crafting or icky old content like relics/primal farms.

    Nobody is saying remove those. People are trying to get the game to be something different in terms of quests. When stormblood is as lazily designed as Heavensward without even a care to have differences then you know shite is getting boring. The only part of Stormblood that's different is the environments and story. The endgame is exactly EXACTLY 100% the same. You get uncapped tomes, then you have capped tomes and savage.... zzzz rinse and repeat! Why cant we have things like quests to get the 7 week weapon? Why can't we have different outfits integrated into questlines? Point is that nothing is different. You get the aether currents and the zones become old fast. Yup, even aether currents were copy pasted.
