Far from bored.
If you feel this way; there are other games that you can tend to until you feel the need to come back to XIV.
I like stretches of the game when an hour a day will do, gives me time to play other stuff.

Yes I'm bored. Paid the 180 day option since 2.0 release and I don't think I'll pay it again. Probably going to go month by month after each release and probably only pay for one month. Content dries up too damn quick for my liking and farming currencies to do that same thing again just for a different textured polygon doesn't warrant the cost. I have the Squall set and I'm not too interested in mounts since they offer literally nothing new to the game play.
I can't really word why this comment annoys me so much. It's like I'm being shamed for enjoying the game in longer sessions than deemed acceptable by you.I am fully okay with the content we have. The 3-4 hour time window in the evening where i can play is always filled with stuff to do.
I have a ton of jobs, crafters and achievements still not done, so....
EDIT: Oh and regarding your complaint about a missing grind fest: Yeah no. A normal person with a normal work who can only play for a (normal) few hours in the evening should not be lacking behind simply due to the fact he is normal and can't play 10h+ a day.
The reason this game will die is cause its name "Final fantasy".
If you are smart enough you sure know why.
WoW has Mythic+ dungeons that you farm to death for Artifact Power and a chance at legendaries. Trust me it gets boring as well.

I think its funny people complain about doing the same things over and over in XIV for loot, but then point to WoW and Diablo 3 as better alternatives... where you do the sames things over and over for loot.
Does not compute.

The grass is always greener...but in the MMO cases the grass is usually exactly the same – just a using a different art style.
Just wait until SE adds blitz ball in-game
